So that’s where the headlights are on planes 🤔 Just subbed 😀 I now live in Montebello. I call it “the land where planes turn to head to LAX.” They’re flying over my apartment complex all day and into the night ‘til about 11:30 or so. I’ve seen the Star Wars BB8 plane twice!
Planes123 It depends on their elevation. Some are a little noisier than others. It’s odd. I used to live super close to downtown LA. I could see the planes making their approach to LAX from my patio. My mom used to sit out on the patio and count them back in ‘75.
I don’t know how people can live near an airport; I worked at a school close to Charlotte Douglas International and the sound was unbearable. It is, however, interesting how the sound is amplified at night.
This is beautiful and awesome combined! I have come here twice to watch planes land and take off and it is very enjoyable for us aviation enthusiasts! I co-worker of mine told me about it sometime last year and another friend took me there for the first time last summer in August since my car was down. I have been hooked on coming here ever since. My most recent visit was back in April with another friend of mine. But is it true that you can only park on Sepulveda Blvd. for only two hours without being ticketed by the police? If so, that sucks! Do you know if there is anywhere else that I can park for an unlimited amount of time without getting a ticket? If there is and if it costs a bit, please let me know because I will pay the amount! So this is how it looks at night uh? That would be a first for me because all the other times I went were in daylight. Superb video once again! I like them all, big or small!
Couple suggestions for parking. 1. Parking structure next to In & Out Burger Cost $16 to $30 All Day (I don't really remember the exact amount, as I have not been to LAX in a while) 2. Residential Areas Look at Google Maps I have park on residential areas in the past, just make sure that you don't park when the streets get swept. I hope this helps, take care!
Yes, it is another In-N-Out type place, but better IMO. In-N-Out is not as good as when I was growing up. Closest Fatburger to LAX is on Manchester and Crenshaw. There's on in Marina Del Rey too, so depending on where you're coming from, those are the 2 closest to LAX.
In recent years the observation deck in the middle of the airport has only been opened on the 2nd Saturday/Sunday of every month. It's a perfect view of the entire airport.
