It’s not that Dusty has a lack of power compared to Ripslinger, modern day crop dusters have a couple times the amount of power that Ripslinger (A Nemesis NXT) has. This is so the planes can carry a couple tons of seed. The main problem is Dusty’s drag coefficient and design. I’m sure his wings (a real life Lockhead P-80) took a lot of that drag away, and he probably had a bunch of weight stripped out of him, but his body still has a much higher drag coefficient than that of the NXT, one of the most successful racing aircraft of all time. This actually makes sense why he went high up into the clouds to go faster. Not only are the winds much stronger up there, but the air density is thinner. Less air molecules hitting the plane’s body=less drag.
@@derbyjr Heaven’s Doorstep being a reference to how the layer above the clouds or troposphere often resembles depictions of The Gates of Heaven in Christianity. The gates often sit atop the clouds. Dusty flew into the troposphere in order to get that speed boost, much like ascending to heaven - a paradise that often times brings unfashionable euphoria - much like his experience flying that high for the first time. The commenter was likely drawing an analogy between heaven and Dusty’s joy in finally overcoming his fear, heeding his masters advice, and with experiencing speed he had never felt before.
Anyone else notice when Skipper begins his dive he sounds like a stuka siren? Also Why couldn't disney add a whistling effect like the one from the corsair (the plane Skipper is)?
@amirgh7772, but he's a former military airplane, and he had bullets during the only mission that he flew in his past. I don't see why the military would be tried for using a firearm since they're going to attack every day.
Nobody even talks about this movie, and alot of people who watched this movie thinks it's bad, but I think it's a good, and enjoyable spin-off film for the Pixar's Cars franchise. Skipper did his very best against Ripslinger saving Dusty from him. Even though Skipper only flown one mission he's still an honorary aircraft that I salute as my favorite character from both the Disney's Planes movies. Good thing Dusty showed that champion scumbag show-off Ripslinger of a racing plane that he has twice the amount of engine.🧡🤍😊😁⚓🏁
