I haven’t seen this movie in 10 years and I completely forgot about it. Until I found this in my recommendations and I immediately felt nostalgic. Thank you for bringing back memories, I hope I can watch the full movie again one day!
Okay, Rover was sent to take pictures of the planet, but he only took pictures of rocks and sent them back to earth and it made everyone on earth believe that the planet had no life on it. So they sent Chuck to the planet where he found out there was actual life on it and ended up stuck on the planet. So basically, Rover is the reason why Chuck ended up on the planet in the first place because of him only sending back pictures of rocks instead of the aliens.
