We’re thrilled to introduce you to the first of a series of Dev Diaries taking a look at the development of Planet Coaster: Console Edition.
Planet Coaster: Console Edition is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X in Holiday 2020.
Build and manage your way to coaster-creating fame! Deep physics-based systems mean you're in for the ride of your life, so dream big and build even bigger as you create your coaster park empire.

But yet they haven't fixed the frame rate issue most fans are complaining about. Even high end gaming pc's struggle to run the game past 15fps with mega parks

They need to fix the game first!!! Its runs poorly. They also need to add a actual management sim into the game this is just a build it game. It has no management. Parkitech has more management then this does.

you people probably dont understand that this type of game will always drop in FPS the bigger and more detailed stuff you build. this isnt a bug and its therefore not going to get "fixed". also if you buy the console version hoping it will run better, well good luck

@@vzs01 i think since planet zoo release its been clear that frontiert dont care anymore. and im sorry but i just cant agree to the points you made, a game of this type cant be programmed to run at 60 fps with 8000 guests and a disney-ish detailed park, its just not possible. mod support has been given to us in form of the 3d programm, free coaster types we also got some.

I just hope the console version isn't super laggy like PC when the park gets bigger. They never fixed the frame rate drop issue on PC even with a superior gaming PC, they struggle to even get more than 15 frames on a big park

i really like the changes you made to the game for console edition! the new building camera is so cool! i wasn't expecting you guys to change anything to the game. all i hoped for was that you change the controls to fit a controller. but so far the changes are good! keep up the good work!

Played this on console and it’s absolutely smooth and optimized nicely. The way they took the mouse and keyboard controllers and revamped them into a controller just works.

Cant really be your dream game. If it was, youd have a computer to play it and hundreds like it, instead of a console that is missing this entire genre

Ddgs Of course it can be their dream game. Just because they don’t have a gaming PC doesn’t mean they can’t want it. Sometimes people can’t afford to buy both and it tends to be that friends have consoles. Mine do because they can’t get used to keyboard and mouse controls which is kinda stupid😂

I can see why it’s taken so long now. To put all these options on to a game pad must have been such a trial and error task to make user friendly. Bravo guys - world class!

Splitscreen, custom playable characters, interactive shops and stuff would really get me to buy this game. This game looks absolutely insane and would really be an amazing experience with my cousins. A lot can't travel to real themeparks so this is a great solution for that!

I am happy to see progress on the game Continues when the global pandemic rages on. What matters is saftey and fun for the developers and players to enjoy building and recreation famous theme and amusement parks and making their own park.

I love riding rollercoasters and playing video games! Im so glad its coming to console as I don't have PC. The other awesome things is the blueprint idea. I work full time and go to school part time and its rare when I have time in between to play games. So as much as id love to invest hours of time building from ground up, its good to know there is also a faster way of building the imaginary theme park of my dreams. Thanks guys!

Waw super ! I was afraid that there would be fewer features than on a pc, that we would have less possibility and this video conquered me, there is frankly a good perspective, we feel that it is not done that half ! on the other hand, I don't know how they are going to put the functionality of downloading our music back into the game because it's great if we want to make a park with a theme. i really hope they can add it in planet coaster console édition ! Tank you this is a good job !!

Motion controls! Let's not forget that the ps4's move controllers offer complete 3d tracking - a mouse and keyboard will still be better for a lot of things, but placing scenery could be much more natural with a move wand.
