Planet Coaster is Now on XBOX and PLAYSTATION! What You Need to Know! | Overview/Review! 

I just wanted to note that the Oswald-Eugene Counter does change depending on what console you’re on. I’m on a Xbox One S, so my console isn’t as powerful as some others like the new Series X which should have a higher threshold for the counter.

I also remember playing the original roller coaster tycoon game when it first came out back in the spring of 1999. That game was very revolutionary for its time and something like that had never been seen before. It's graphics we're advance for its time but I remember playing it hours and building' coasters. Flash forward to now and everything I have learned in RCT I'm applying to my gameplay on planet coaster. I thought I would never live to see a game like Planet Coster be made available to the public. It's so addicting I could spend hours playing it and I will never get tired of it.

I must say, coming into a new theme park sim game and having to relearn how to make workable coasters and such is quite humbling after playing OG RCT 1 and 2 for over half of my life! It took me years to become adept at coaster design in RTC, so I can't imagine the time it will take to get all of the finesse down with this one. I love this game so far, though. It's gorgeous.

I just really wish the Oswald-Eugene could be bypassed as an option in settings, maybe with a warning about performance/corruption

I remember playing the very first rollercoaster tycoon. Such an amazing game! I saw this available the other day on xbox one and really want to pick it up. BUT, im also getting a powerful PC soon so probably will just wait a bit longer. The build limit is a big factor for me.

I play on the xbox one s and the Oswald-Eugene counter is quite generous. I’m very glad planet coaster is finally on console! Have been hoping for years. The tutorial is helpful but long.

Create Steel vengeance and loosen up the restraints a bit, lol. I have rode seven RMCs and Steel Vengeance is the only one I have this problem on. As a guy who is 5'11" and not skinny (not a land whale either but still), the lapbar is so tight on me that by the time the ride is over I am almost in tears. Doesn't help that there are about 15 airtime hills (which otherwise I would love). Virtual me won't know how good he has it, but thank you.

If i plug in my Bluetooth keyboard and mouse will it work like other games? Or does it only work with the controller?

7:25 the Problem is you can´t connect all 6 Steel Vengences anymore, because Paths just swallow the Limit percents for some stupid reason...

How well are the controls optimized for console? I remember when The Sims 4 dropped on PS4, playing it with a controller was almost unbearable. I don't want to have that same issue again.

You CAN Use a mouse and keyboard on this version of the game. I have them hooked up to my PS4 and they work great.

I'm incredibly disappointed by the Oswald Eugene Counter's implementation. I don't have a massive problem with the concept but the execution is poor. I don't want to necessarily have a hard cap that I can't build past. I'd like to be able to toggle that off and just have a warning pop up that I could experience frame rate drops or performance issues. Also adding to Xbox Gamepass after the point when most pre-orders can't be cancelled is INSANELY scummy, that should have 1000% been ironed out so that people could cancel their pre-orders if they were going to get Gamepass and didn't need to buy it outright. That first issue can definitely be fixed and since I'll be playing on the PS4 the second doesn't directly apply to me, but it's a very bad look for Frontier and I definitely will remember to not pre-order any of their games in the future since I don't think that I can trust them to be ethical.

Back button doesn’t work on PS5.

I just build small highly detail parks on console. Yea it’s a small let down but the game runs very well on console even if you fill the meter to max. So frontier did the right thing I’d rather have a fun smooth experience then the game starting to lag or freeze.

Is there a Planet Coaster CONSOLE EDITON for XBOX ONE?

The Oswald Eugene Counter Limit ruins the game, I only play sandbox mode. You can barely build up 1/3 of the available park land before you hit the limit and the park capacity appears to be maxed out at 4,000.

i think i must be the only person who finds this game overcomplicated. i have this on the PC and have a few DLC but just cant get into it. I was always a fan on the orignal Theme park where the game was based about park management. I just wish Planet Coaster wasn't based so much on design etc i dont care about window positionings i just want to put rides, scenary and refreshement stations and manage the finances and staff etc

All you need to know is it has a build limit and it's pretty low. They didn't tell people so good luck building your park of your dreams because you can only build a small park. You have plenty of space but can't use most of it.
