I love how absolutely clueless Johnny still is when it comes to real coasters - not the slightest idea why the SLC is iconic. Being amazed by the Mack Mega's trains and the fact that it has both chain lift and launch (NOT a cable lift however!)... He's just a dude playing his game looking at coaster thingies. Basically the exact opposite of Silvarret, who builds custom supports if the ingame ones are not as realistic as he wants them to be :D
This is the best DLC so far, the mack and the schwarzkopf coasters are my favourites out of all of the new rides. I am a bit disappointed with the chair lift though as you can't have more than 2 stations. But this is totally worth the £7.99 that it costs. For further DLC's I hope they focus more on rides than scenery because we can't make the rides ourselves, when with scenery, we can use what's already in-game to make new scenery or even use the Theme Makers Toolkit (which is cheating by the way).
Watching that cable ride brought back some memories, many years ago I worked summer at a theme park, it had a cable/ski lift ride and one day a storm suddenly came in from nowhere. Two young women were trapped on the ride while they were pelted with hail and battered by intensely high winds 30 ft in the air. We got the ride back working after about half an hour but the two girls were understadably hysterical by then.
FrickerGaming There at a decent amount but mine is at knoebels in Pennsylvania ours is run by a old tractor motor it dosent have eagles on it but it’s the exact same type
The new track reminds me of what they’re implementing in real life at Disneyland Tokyo with their new Beauty and the Beast ride, the ride vehicle is said to move in a similar manner and will actually rotate and move to simulate dancing. By the way, can’t wait to see what you guys work on next in Candyland.
Your channel and videos are awesome, and you’ve inspired me to make my own. I want to do planet coaster soon but currently I am doing slime rancher and real life videos..
Idk if they still have it but Knoebels had a Swift Eagles ride when I was a kid and it was incredibly fun to control the rudder, and the guy that ran it always had it on max speed that was way more intense than this in-game one. Love it!
Someone actually started recreating Hersheypark, and it looks very accurate. Just search it in the Steam Workshop, and you'll find it. There are some rides that can definitely be replaced now that this DLC pack is out. Still waiting for a water park DLC pack so the Boardwalk can be recreated. :)
Jonny5 - The Vector coaster also has a mode where you can turn the last row of the coaster backwards. It is in the ride options under operations mode - select the radial button on for :Last row face backwards". Thought you should know that. Seems like a pretty cool option. Great vid - love the channel. Keep it up you guys!
I actually made a shwarzkoft coaster that has a chainlift and a launch. The train slows down, launches backwards, runs out of speed, and goes forward again, like Full Throttle.
Great Video. I'm hoping that with the Theme Toolkit doing well, PlanCo can concentrate on rides more, but still do some other things too. I want a gondola lift, but I'm pretty much pleased with whatever they add. If and when something cool gets added, that's great, but I don't stressed up over any game, even PC. My only big complaint with Planet Coaster, is that I have trouble with the controls. I'm not sure it's the game, or that it's an issue that I have personally.
Someone should do a bumber boats, using the tracker ride, have the vechlies to look like the hit each other?? Great video Johnny, keep up the great work
Just wanted to say that I saw a video by Geekism in my Recommended videos on the RU-vid homepage for this DLC, but I already knew there was a channel that covered this game that I liked better. I didn't remember your channel name off the top of my head but I knew I'd recognize it when I saw it so I purposely went out of my way to search for "magnificent rides dlc" in the YT search box so that I could find and watch *your* video covering this DLC instead. #WorthIt
O.m.g... Jonny is definitely an artist and not a professional ride engineer. Face-desk. I'm with Chant, I'll skip jonny's coasters... I kindof prefer my head.
