The Vapor shoots great when it shoots...but they're incredibly hard to keep shooting. The Victory shoots great as well...and it's easier to keep working than the Vapor. But I will always turn to the Geo when I want a great shooting marker that will almost ALWAYS shoot :) -Dan
Does turning the sfr all the way up help with efficiency? I've heard that having it all the way down makes it an air hog. Also wouldn't you be able to lower your dwell slightly as the bolt cycles faster?
I think you touched on a question below regarding venting. So the SFR is always supposed to vent? Im just noticing this on my own GEO 3 and its driving me nuts. I dont have the blank to put in its place but from what Im reading it doesnt matter? Is there any way to stop the venting from the SFR?
My 3.5 is burping sometimes. I have Cleaned the iv core and checked Orings all look decent, but I have shot about 15 cases of paint through it since the purchase of the marker. I have cleaned the reg added a fresh battery and set it to stock board settings. I have my SFR at the 3 O'clock position. Any ideas on fixing this issue?
10c is 50f. I have played in much colder temps than that with my Geo3 with zero problems. Use the Planet Eclipse grease and make sure the O-rings are lubed. The most overlooked O-ring is the front inner can o-ring.
You really cant go wrong with either marker. At this point, its what feels more comfortable to you and if you like double stack markers vs singe stack markers. I like the way the Ego11 feels in my hands, but i also like the way the Geo3 shoots. Its really up to you. - Cromer
It's legitimately the best grease out there. We really need to make a thread on PbRIOT on it and explain it greater detail why it's the bomb.. We truly love it. -Russell
great video. I noticed that you guys were using the pathogen super grease. You never know if someone is payed to endorse a product, but the fact that guys use it, even after your review video means that it's actually a good product. I don't know why i said this, it's just something i noticed.
If you have one, or know someone who is willing to ship it to us, then yes! We would gladly edit it into the video if we could get our hands on one. Cant guarantee Jay wont keep it though :-P - Cromer
The Geo contains an unbalanced Spool Valve. That is what makes it a different class than the Shocker (which contains a balanced Spool Valve). Both markers' bolt systems TECHNICALLY are modeled after the AGD blow-forward design...but that doesn't make either of them blow-forwards. At least that is my understanding. Feel free to school me if I am incorrect :D -Dan
Actually handling each marker will absolutely be beneficial. You can see how it shoots, how it feels, how the tank will sit, etc. Think of it like test driving a car! :) - Chris
Yes. if you restrict it to get a smoother shot you're not gonna get as many shots per fill, vice versa is a bit of a harder faster hit but more efficiency
Just wandering whats the point of using the stock bolt over the soft tip bolt? Or is there any advantages to using the stock bolt over the soft tip bolt?
Nope you can only have the grips that are on the marker. And you CAN purchase an OLED board on the AM model. But there's no need to. The stock board is great. Same goes for the eyes :) The reason why there's not many aftermarket upgrades for the marker is because PE did it right the first time and there aren't really any upgrades that are actual upgrades :) -Dan
There is only X amount of air in front of the bolt. The SFR controls how fast or slow that X amount of air is purged. It has nothing to do with efficiency. - Erik
ok, so the sfr just controls the release of the air ie how slow it is put into the bolt system? then the spring in the prop shaft cuts it off? i understand! i think
if i was to buy a geo 2.1 and put an exalt launch bolt in it, beside the geo 3's adjustable solenoid would it pretty much act the same or is there a good reason to spend 200 more on the geo 3?
The launch bolt really isn't THAT awesome - it wouldn't make the gun shoot nearly as nice as a 3. Personally, I would save up the 200 and go with the 3. It is smoother, and more efficient/reliable. - Chris
Head to your local field and ask other players :) Just last weekend I shot a Luxe for the first time when I did just that :) most people are happy to let you shoot their marker if you show interest. -Dan
Hey :-) I have a geo3 that I just purchased used. And the first time I tried the bolt stuck and it started to brake paint... I live in Norway and it's cold (10 degrees Celsius) hear so that's probably the reason why it's sticking. But what can I do to prevent the sticking?
is a Geo 3 with iv core spire 260 and a ninja 68 durra tank for 900 or a lv1 i have gear but is it worth it getting the Geo i fell comfortable in both but performance wise with is better
Hotroddj17 When it comes down to choosing between the Geo or LV1, it is pretty much completely up to personal preference. They are both top of the line markers, with very subtle differences. The 3.5 has become Geo's flagshio, but I prefer the shot trajectory of the LV1. What was your question exactly?
Hustle Paintball well i think that answered to the most part i was just wonder the shot difference between them and a new lv1 or a used Geo 3 and some gear and and iv core for the same price but mainly i wanted the shot quality
Hotroddj17 I prefer the shot of the LV1 because it almost seems to dive down over bunkers and snakes. It's almost like the LV1 puts some top spin on the ball. The 3.5 however seems to shoot a little more "straight" in my experience. I prefer the diving shot of the LV1 though. - Jeremy
hahaha thats what I figured. Just wanted to double check. Appreciated and btw lol that comment can be taken so many different ways in the right light :)
Hey guys at hustle, I'm selling my nt11 and I'm either getting a machine vapor, bob long victory or geo 2.1. I heard some good and bad things about the vapor, what's your opinion on it, looks like a budget luxe when buying used, I know the geo is reliable and I have used it and its great, how does the Vic compare to the others, and finally what would you choose and why? Sorrrt for the long writing btw
Its really personal preference, they both shoot great, the DM14 is a little finicky and needs a lot of attention and taking care of, the Geo 3 is really well built and shoots amazing and if you were to get the IV Core for it, it would be just as good as the Geo 3.1 and will shoot better than the DM14 for sure! - Ty
Honestly they are both amazing markers, i still rock out my Ego 11 and i love it. really it comes down to witch one you can point better, but you cant loose ether way. - Mouse
I just don't believe Geo lv1 was a typing "error". I imagine the next geo will have the same hard line as the Ego. It only makes sense; the ego is now just as quite but is the same price. The only selling point now is spoolly vs pop. Hope they come out with it at least by early next year.
I recently saved up enough money to buy a geo 3 or a lv1. I want a gun that is completely smooth. Which is smoother, a lv1 or a geo 3. Please write back because this may decide which marker I buy. Thanks...
