omg this was amazing with Sir David Attenborough narrating this so funny, I love Suisei's Micomet song and Mikos sounds omg, This was a great game too I loved all of this. Good video great editing and thanks for translating 👍☄🌸 Awesome Micomet content
It was an awesome game! Suichan was starting to seem dejected after messing up and letting her map cover the screen on her imposter round before that... And then that one last round made it all better, and then some. It was epic enough to deserve the David Attenborough treatment. I'm glad you liked it! I definitely had fun with this one.
Wow a whole new style this time!! Never expected to see someone edit an among us stream into a video of predators chasing preys with the NARRATING! Compared to those fast clips, this kind of unique videos with those cool editings is good to see too😆😆 So take your time, I'll support whatever you present to us I'm actually a big fan of miComet and I just watched the clips of these two's POVs for this stream Thanks for combining other members' POVs so I can see their reactions too! Good work as always 👍👍
Glad you liked it! I definitely had fun with this one. I wasn't all that sure it would turn out that good, but I lucked on some really nicely fitting voice lines and it went smoothly from there. Either way it's awesome to see people appreciate the extra effort! I'm definitely not hating on the fast clips mind you, I watch them myself, be it only to find things I could then go nuts editing... In this case though I was watching the stream and just knew I had to make this clip, no matter how many clips of it were already out. I mean, it's miComet! As impostors! They're just the best. Thanks for the comment as always!
The original line was about a sloth, as you might have guessed... Frankly I would almost feel bad about that one (not really, sloths are awesome), but after that, Mikochi goes on to out-psycho Suichan AND gets away with it?! I think on the whole she ends up looking pretty darn good. Thanks for watching!
I feel like I should cede credit to Sir David Attenborough for the narration, but I'm glad I could bring him and miComet together... I will take the compliment for the editing though, I always appreciate when people notice the effort. Thanks for watching!
It was a really great video. David Attenborough’s story was great and made me laugh more than once. In addition, I appreciated having the reactions of the people killed.
Glad you liked it! The only death reaction I couldn't include was Marine's, she seems to have had a connection/OBS/RU-vid issue right then and it's missing from her VOD. Ah well. Thanks for watching though!
Because apparently I'm better at making videos than advertising them, if comments are to be believed! Glad you did find it now though, and by all means, feel free to let more people know!
Amogus definitely got to a bit of an oversaturation point for a bit there, with everyone and their mother playing and streaming it during quarantine... But Suichan's glee when she finally can swing her axe makes it all worth it for me. And if my clip helped too, all the better. Glad you liked it!
Suichan loves her psycho image so much, she plays into it as much as she can... She was complaining that she didn't get to be a psycho in hololive alternative... "I guess I can just be an idol, fiiine." Glad you liked it!
First off, thank you for the sub and the comment! As for your question, I've had similar questions before but I guess I might as well answer it in way too much depth, at least as far as I understand it. Since this is essentially my most watched video, it's as good a place as any to do so. Sorry for the wall of text, feel free to skim/ignore it! The reason the algorithm doesn't like my stuff, in short, is that I'm doing pretty much everything wrong. Specifically, in order from what I think affects the algorithm most: 1) I'm way too slow about updates. The algorithm likes nothing more than returning customers, and if it takes me a month between videos, that's bad for ad sales, basically. Of course it's just me doing this, as a hobby, so the only way I could improve this is by changing the next point... 2) My videos are too long. Especially my latest ones, 30+ minutes for a channel that's not already popular is not the way to grow. The algorithm would much rather have a bunch of 1 minute clips, since that's that many more chances to serve ads. But the stuff I enjoy subbing is longer stuff, so that's what I work on. 3) Numbered/multi-part videos. Even if/when I split my videos into smaller chunks to help with the previous point, the algorithm is strongly skewed against series, since it's assumed people wouldn't be interested in episodes 2 and further if they haven't seen the first. 4) My thumbnails aren't catchy enough. I like working on thumbnails thinking of them as movie posters, but that's not what works on RU-vid. The little details I add like designing a racing helmet for Suichan, or using the Totoro font for my Gekochi video, are more often than not noticed by a single person: me. Even without going to the extremes of clickbait ahegao faces and misleading quotes in the thumbnail, I could probably come up with thumbnails that have a much higher click rate than mine. But I like how mine look, so I don't really want to change that either. 5) I am absolutely trash at advertising my stuff. I technically have a Twitter account where I try to remember to announce when a new video is out, I even sometimes make little trailer videos for it, but I have so few followers on there that I'm pretty sure that's entirely negligible. If I was a more social creature and posted links to my stuff on say, Reddit or Discord or whatever, it would get the ball rolling and give the algorithm more incentive to spread my videos further. My channel is indexed and listed on HoloDex, and that's probably where most of the new traffic comes from, but that's not nearly as far reaching on its own. Would I rather my stuff got more views? Of course. If I didn't care how many people see the stuff I make, I just wouldn't make it public. I don't necessarily feel like I'm in a rush for the channel to "make it big" either, since I think the videos I've put out will likely age okay enough, so even if someone discovers my channel in a year, they'll have a good chunk of content to enjoy when they do... But short of other people voluntarily sharing it for me and posting links around, or the occasional fluke of the algorithm, I don't expect RU-vid to throw me a bone on its own. So there you go. Tl;dr: I am bad at playing the algorithm and don't particularly care to change my ways, but you are more than welcome to share my stuff around wherever you feel like if you want to help! Again, thank you for the nice comment and the sub!
Well, I get really nice comments like yours, and I can count my dislikes on one hand across all my videos (and still have a couple fingers to spare)... So ratings-wise I think I do okay, but I would have to agree that it's under-publicized at least. I don't use reddit, I have like 3 followers on twitter, and I just generally suck at advertising, so I get just about all my views from youtube's algorithm taking pity on my videos. By all means though, feel free to spread the word and share my videos as far and wide as you like! ;)
Welcome aboard! I'll pass your compliments to Sir David Attenborough for the narration if I run into him at a Suichan concert or something. Glad you liked it!
I know, seriously rude! How dare Sir David Attenborough say that of our dear Mikochi? I take no responsibility for it myself, though. Thanks for watching!
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think what Suichan and Luilui meant when Lamy didn't do anything was about her not doing any task, as in doing "nothing", not that she didn't do "anything". Meaning they're suspicious of her. And about what she said about Noel, was that, in short she doubted Noel but, like, innocent 'till proven guilty kinda thing so she's still letting her "swim" or still assuming she's "white".
You're probably right, but I think it could go both ways (and either way I'd say the phrasing I used works, there), but I'll explain my logic... As you point out, Lui's statement is generic enough that she could have meant either "she didn't [kill anyone]" or "she didn't [do her job]". I don't think there would have been a way to maintain that ambiguity in the English phrasing without the statement becoming unnatural and awkward, so I had to pick one and went with the former. My reasoning for that was twofold: a) it just seems more natural as a first response to a body being reported to blurt out "well, it wasn't so-and-so" rather than "so and so was acting shifty [but I was with her and would have seen her do it if she had]", and b) the conversation is then steered (by Lamy) into specifically not doing tasks, so it seemed to me that at least Lamy interpreted the first part as being about committing the crime rather than tasks. So I can't say for certain Lui meant it that way, but it made the conversation feel natural (and to an extent helped make the ensuing finger pointing between Lamy and Lui sound more dramatic when it then escalates). As for Suichan's response, again, I think your interpretation is valid, she does mention monitoring Noel while giving her the benefit of the doubt. So in that case, literally speaking, your version would have been closer to her phrasing. I think however that *in spirit*, and given the meta knowledge that Suichan is an imposter, she's muddying the waters with her statement in a way that a more literal translation might not illustrate appropriately, so while she doesn't specifically state that Noel could be pretending, it's implied, and felt worth accentuating. There probably were many ways I could have translated that better, so it's not a hill I'd die on, but I also don't think it changed the meaning all that much in the end. So all told, you're right that I took a few liberties on the phrasing for that part, but I think I didn't really betray anyone's intentions in the process, and the result still just feels right to me. Hopefully that makes sense... I hope you liked the video as a whole though, and thanks for the input! I definitely am not proficient enough in Japanese to be above corrections and discussions like this, so I appreciate it.
If anything, I think my response counted as the tirade! I am far from immune from messing up bits of translation, so I genuinely invite corrections/clarifications like this. I mean, I can't exactly edit the video to fix blatant mistakes, but the least I can do is have a healthy comment section if corrections are needed. Thanks again!
