Don't forget coaster brakes lol, I used one as a "freecoaster" for a long time and it works if your broke takes a little getting used to to not engage the brake lol
Considering the only other comments on the hub I could find online were negative assumptions made on the vital forums before it was even available, your videos on this hub are super helpful and redeeming. I'm really now this seem like the perfect coaster for me to switch from a cassette to. The only remaining big question now is how durable the thing is.
THANK YOU! Haha So many assumptions by people who would never even buy it anyway. I’ll be sure to make any updates as needed and a full review will be coming in the next month or two. I don’t plan on taking it off my bike, and that’s huge being someone who’s had a cassette for 13 years
@@Brant_Moore I've been wanting a coaster for awhile now but it's the slack and having to disengage that drives me nuts when I ride other people's bikes. Since neither of those things are problems with this thing, and because I ride a rear brake to make up for the lack of pedal pressure in some cases, I can have exactly what I want. Looking forward to the full review! I honestly might be too excited to wait until then though
That’s exactly why I’ve really enjoyed it so far. Fakies are no long a struggle at the end of a trick. They’re a part of it now and actually can look good
I just recently switched to a coaster and have the Demolition Rotator V3 (or Biz Jordan signature) obviously it took a few to get use to it but I love it!! I think its great! I thought this experiment was really interesting. Very cool!!
As a flatlander with over 7 years of experience. With khe freecoasters. this is hilarious. To use a freecoaster u simply dis engage the hub slightly. If u have a hub set to have 1/2 rotation max slack. It doesnt mean u gotta crank half turn. I set a big gap in mine on all my bikes for tricks on the back wheel or pedals or pegs. But when im riding street as im done pedaling there should be a tiny bit of slack the hub needs to dis engage too coast. Either forward or backward. When time to pivot out the amount i pedal backward should be how much i need to pedal forward for it to re engage.. when the clutch is fucked. Well a whole different story.
just to people with freecoasters, you CAN pivot using pedal pressure if you run little slack and just give enough so that you’re able to cost but the second you start carving out and put pressure you can go out like a cassette
I don't understand why the freenight hub is worth it other than when pedaling forward you can use pedal pressure. As long as you don't disengage a freecoaster you can use pedal pressure while going forward and even use it while going fakie but you can't use pedal pressure while going fakie on a freenight hub
Why do so many people act like just because a product is available and other people like it, that it means they have to buy it. Don't like it, dont buy it. Pretty simple.
I honestly still can't decide between the planetary hub or z-coaster. They both need payment options (lol) but also it seems hard to find the free night anywhere but on their website & its the hub only.
Hi there, thanks for letting us, know about this new product for BMX, May I ask you with what camera you were filming this video? I checked your Amazon page, but did you use Gopro Hero 5 for this video?
It's for the people that hate slack would love this freecoaster. The only downside is you can't fakie tire tap but for someone else it might be their interest.
For the people who put tennis balls between there Spock’s yes it looks cool but it’s literally gonna make yo Spock’s lose then yo rims will get buckled I uesd to leave a tennis ball on my bmx but the Spock’s went lose for putting it in an out
