Body worn cameras are not overly necessary at this time. Spend the money on implementing systems along with legislation which will allow for the more effective use of DNA evidence during police investigations. Also spend the money on the proper use of drone technology in monitoring the movement of know and suspected criminals especially in crime hot spots and areas where gang activity is rampant. That's how you truly modernize a police force.
