If you don’t like to feel your writing on the reverse side of your page, you will want a pencil board. They are a good page marker. I also suggest getting a good cover for it. I have a leather cover from Galen leather. I have had it for five years and it is in great shape. It will also fit different a5 notebooks.

I'll have to wait and see if the pencil board is necessary or not. It'll be my first time dealing with Tomoe River S paper so we'll see. As for the cover, for now I'll rely on the plastic cover because if the least expensive one. lol Maybe if I'm doing Hobonichi more like several years etc, I'll invest in a leather cover but I also have a Happy Planner zip folio cover that I think can work but we'll see.

For a pencil board just cut out a piece of cereal box. Its thin enough but stiff enough for a solid writing surface. Plus you can decorate it with contact paper or vinyl from the dollar treee or diaso.❤
