I have made 2 of the little journals and gave 1 away. I used to work for a vet when I was younger that had a retired greyhound that he used as a blood donor to save many dogs and puppies. Her name was Flossie too. We went for long walks and as a sighthound, she showed me many things. I now have to try this project in her memory, although I am late to start.

Looks like a beautiful project! I love to observe nature. Today I woke up to find a deer in my driveway eating one of the plants near my front gate. I want to identify that plant. The deer seemed to think it was delicious!

Linda Jo Martin oh lovely! Try the app called Seek. It is amazing for identifying plants, animals, bugs &c!

Just far enough to cut into each folio in the signature, and create your sewing holes - it's just to make it easier to get your needle through! You would otherwise poke a hole through each signature. :)

Where do you source the paper you use for your signatures? Weight?

Hi Erin - you can use any size paper, and tear it down to the size that you would like your sketchbook to be.
