That’s my block! The poles have been leaning for at least 10 years now, I agree it is a hazard but I’ll miss seeing those old poles. I know they are at least 25+ years old
Daytona beach Shores Fl. went underground. The salt air was causing all kinds of problems. Power Is restored after a hurricane alot faster. And stays on longer during a hurricane or tropical storm. Our last storm we where without power for 13 hours.
They're more worried about money for their pockets than being doing things right. People aren't forcing things to happen so this is the outcome one gets
The problem is the communication lines!!!! It’s not the power lins pulling them over. It’s the old heavy phone lines that are heavy lead copper lines that are basically abandoned and not in use anymore. We have the same problem here in New York. Heavy abandoned phone trunk lines pulling poles over.
Is Alliant Energy down there too? REC is working all summer on their equiptment around here. REC don't wait for a storm to take everything down then declare a disaster.
When did it start to become a standard to get your news to get things done? This is what happens when the government outsources others to do the work. I don't know, would it be bad like the old days and have their own trained to do the work?
