Wow...Amazing plans for 2024 Sharon and I will definitely be Cheering you on 🎉. I love that Fairy Chatalaine and the peach fabric you picked...going to be Stunning!! I think that other fabric is 18ct too. Love the Wedding picture, your husband is quite handsome. Missed seeing Tiger today...he must have been napping somewhere. Hope you have a Great day and get some enjoyable stitching done while it rains. Bye for now, JoDee
Exciting all the new starts! I am an aida girl myself but Lugana evenweave is my favorite other than aida. You will love it. Love the fairy garden chatelaine! I like the big disney picture.
Hi Sharon. You have some excellent plans for next year. I think it would be awesome if you stitched Disney ornaments then you can display them on your holiday tree.
Love the new projects. I will be joining you at some time next year with the Chatelaine. I’m still kitting up. Looking for my material. Love the Disney. I especially loved the bigger one with all the year and characters. Whatever you do decide I’m positive you will smash it. Lynne ❤
I forgot to say, I would love to see you do the big Disney piece, but if you stuck with the small ones it would be a bit of a pallet cleanser from all your large projects, give you the satisfaction of a few finishes during the year and let you actually get some things stitched from your disney collection. You can add the large one after you get a finish on one of the larger peices but still get your Disney fix 😊
Great plans Sharon.👍. It looks like the fabric for your husband's photo looks like 18ct. As for the goals for your new starts how about either 24k stitches or 24%? I applaud anyone who stitch on a Dimensions kit, they're too hard for me🤪. I know when I went over to the higher counts it frightened the life out of me then it clicked. You could always stitch 1x1? I think it's easier. Happy stitching. Thanks for sharing🤗🇬🇧
Love your plans❤. Will be fun to watch you meet your goals. I love the Disney one with the dates. So pretty. The wedding pic of hubby is adorable ❤. Should have picked on with both of you in it❤. Anyway thanks for sharing and can’t wait to start watching❤❤
Hi Sharon, I love your goals for next year. And the best thing about them is, you can aiways updare them.😊 It is a good picture of hubby, but where are you? Do you have any Just Cross Stitch magazines? If so, they have directions for some stitches in the back. I think I would start with small Disney projects. As the year goes you can 😂always add the big one. Happy Stitching. ❤❤❤
Loved hearing about all your plans for next year - I am looking forward to watching your journey. In regards to the Dimensions kit floss - there should be a list of the colours included in each bundle with the number of lengths to help you sort out which colour is which.n It can be tricky but as soon as you start pulling out colour lengths it isn't too bad. I like the idea of you working on some Disney smalls - maybe you could challenge yourself to completing a piece from say 12 of the magazines. Lots to look forward to. Enjoy your stitching for the remainder of the year. xxx
I have done quite a few older Dimensions kits where you have to sort the floss. They come in bundles. Usually there will be an odd colored yarn with each bundle. Each will have a different yarn color attached to the floss. For example red might be designated as bundle one. Green might be bundle 2. I suggest sorting out only one bundle at a time. That way you are less likely to get confused. The instructions will tell you how many strands of each color you have. Don't be intimidated. It'll be easier than you think. You got this, girl.😊
Sharon - Your plans for 2024 are spectacular. On your 8 new projects you could have a goal of 12K or 24K stitches for the year. Just a suggestion. The peach rose fabric is a great choice for the Fairy Garden 🎉🎉. Patricia
Hi Sharon, thanks for sharing your plans for 2024. Exciting times ahead 😁 I am going to look through my stash and pick some new projects for 2024. I tend to stitch monogamously so I’m going to be brave and have a new start every month 🤞Happy stitching 🧵🪡💖
I really enjoy your channel. Lovely projects. I think I may try and find the chatelaine fairies on our 6 month camping trip from Michigan to the southwest. If I buy online will have it sent to my daughter’s
Where's Tiger? Hope you get your chatelaine. Have got a small start on quarantine cats. Will be starting a SS Disney just getting the fabric. Happy stitching!🇨🇦
For the kit floss issue, you can check on the legend for the floss, it will say for instance light blue and the number of strings. That way it makes it easier. If I make sense. Example if there are a lot of blues checking the number of strings will make it more sortable. Hope that helps! Loved your video as always
Hi Sharon, love your plans for 2024. You should be able to check the mock-up of your hubby’s chart in pattern keeper to make sure it looks ok. Or thread-bare have an option on their site where you can upload a PDF and it shows you the mock-up as well. I would cut off the top little bit from your hubby’s pic as I don’t think it’s needed.
Sharon, I have the cheap version of a dmc thread guide, with pictures not thread , but I use it to match colors in old kits or mill hill kits. Or just Google the dmc thread numbers and match colors that way for the Titanic piece.
Very good plans with high goals. Maybe you can cut the fabric for your husband photo on the size of a 16 count fabric. Than its always good. A little bit extra fabric is perfect for framing. The middle of a mandala is avery high goal, but you can do it. Happy stitching.
Hi Sharon! Love your plans for next year. I will also be doing Quarantine Cats and Rusty Cauldron as starts, and started Australia Map with Nessa this year as an addition to my 60 starts for my 60 years this year, doing the Amazing Animal Kingdom with Nessa as well. Next year is a full coverage and fancy lady focus year.
Love all the projects, I'm doing the Quarantine cats sal with you and may do the rusty cauldron with you 😊 I'm starting Australia map as well and nearly forgot that I am doing animal kingdom Bookshelf
Hi Sharon, lots of people call evenweave "lugana" but strictly speaking Evenweave is the group name (like linen or aida) and the stitch count denotes the name. Lugana is 25 ct, Murano is 32 count, Brittney is 28 ct. Just like linen where Cashel is 28, Belfast is 32, Edinburgh is 35 and Newcastle is 40. Good luck with all your goals. I'm going to follow yr example and set some too. All the best, Claire
Hi Sharon, I have that Titanic kit from Dimensions...on the colour key, it says how many of each specific colour are there...there are also blends of certain colours I found putting the blends of colours in sandwich bags (the small ones) helps somewhat to keep it under control😊it does take a bit of working out and best to use natural light....hope that helps Bronwynne 😊
You're very ambitious! Your plans make it all seem doable. Have you ever thought about cropping out some of the edges, sky, etc. to make the piece just a little bit smaller and quicker to finish? Just curious.
