I really wish they would look into doing mixed zoning, MFR, patio/zero lot line homes, and other methods that have worked in other countries.

I live near there and every time I drive by, I just look into that block wondering what's in there. Then I get home and forget to look at maps to see.

How bad was traffic when Prestonwood Mall was nearby? But also… …Valley View Mall! Why is this not there?!? Are they building housing there now? All of that mass dense residential should be built there, so they have easy access to the highway, and not crowding up Preston Rd as much as they would if they were located off the Beltline intersection.

Preston and Beltine are built to handle many more cars. That is the perfect place to replace dying strip malls and acres of empty parking lots with dense housing that can support local businesses and bring needed tax revenue.

@@mrparts It looks pretty big though. A normal sized 2-3 story apartment complex should be enough. That HUGE concept they’re showing though, really belongs at Valley View. A dying strip mall looks much better than the plot where a huge dead mall once stood. That strip mall most likely is dying BECAUSE it thrived off that mall when it was prosperous. Both malls actually. If a massive residential complex is built where Valley View was, like they had been promising for years, I’m sure that strip mall would see enough traffic to gain decent tenants again. Or, at the very least, raise property values so the strip mall owner can sell to developers for more. I don’t think people are against dense housing. I think they’re against building skyscrapers as housing.

DALLAS NEEDS HOUSING!!!! Ppl are so selfish…this is a no brainer but I guess some ppl don’t have half a brain They will find out when their property taxes keep going up due to less ppl pitching in. All the while more suburbanites use our cities resource.

Dallas needs AFFORDABLE HOUSING! It won't be affordable in this area.
