Congratulations beautiful!! I’ve thought the last month or so that you’ve had this extra beautiful glow & joy about you, now I know why. I’m so excited for you and this next journey.
You've motivated me. My poor plants have suffered this winter, but now I'm getting them ready for spring. They already look like a different group of plants!
I also have depression plants currently😅I was feeling super down about that but you made me feel not so alone. Thank you for that! Yay for spring and yay for SEROTONIN!!!
Thinking about putting RU-vid videos up of myself cleaning and doing stuff to hold myself accountable 😂😂🙄 Thank you for sharing your energy with us 🦩🦩😊🇿🇦
I've been on such an anthurium kick as of late! I just got a nice deal on 4 little guys, about when you picked up yours, and I love seeing how your new ones are coming along!! your comment about having a new leaf come in and how that tells you you're "doing something right" is the prefect way to descibe how I'm feeling about all the new leaves on my new baby anthuriums!!🤩
I get cold weather depression too,but I’m lucky to be living in hot part of Australia! We are in autumn and I’m already dreading winter! Great video Becca! 💚🪴🇦🇺
You're so cute with "sharing your space"🤭. I have a small spare bedroom as my plant room and I'm NOT complaining bc I also have plants in our bedroom, kitchen and living room 🤣💚 love your content!
Girl it snowed here yesterday and forecasted for Sunday too. So beyond Over it happens every year the last of winter seems like it takes forever just won’t leave
First off: we all get depression plants. Every winter I wonder if I really want all these plants and then spring rolls around and I’m like, yep still love plants. Second off: color for the wood in greenhouse, what about a lovely marigold? It would make it so sunny in there!
Those thaumatophyllum are incredibly Hardy and strong once they have been on them. I put a younger one outside last year in False Spring and basically killed it to soil level. It bounced back and was quite happy by Autumn, not as big, but happy nonetheless. I've got plants inside that caught my winter blues; soon enough they'll get some lovely rays of sun.
Congratulations! Loved the video and even bought some of those 3D post. Have you ever root pruned a spider plant or a plant with tubers? Very nervous about doing that to my 6+ year old spider plant, but I know it needs to happen!
😢 I watched your Feb favs video before this one and I was actually thinking… I haven’t seen her huge adansonii in a while☹️ meh shmeh it’s ok. Perk up in no time!! Love all the repots… they all look super cute!!
Hi Becca. So happy for You and Daniel. I have A pink princess but a new leaf has not unraveled in a month. So I have been spraying with water and it is starting to open a little. Saw on utube this woman put a warm Towel on hers and it Unfurled. What do you Suggest?.
When I water with my hose in my mind I hear the plants shrieking because our well water is so cold. Not really but if they could I imagine they would. ❄️💚🙃
!!Yes… NO judgement…I have the exact same plant looks absolutely like yours but once summer comes it will get bigger and be happy again!!! ❤seriously tho no joking we have twin plants lol :)🪴🪴🪴Spring can’t get here fast enough but up here in northeast it takes it’s sweet time lol ;)
plants get winter neglect. I went through today and gave a good soaking to many, cut off lots of dead, added a bit of soil to a few with the promise of warmth and better days soon. It happens. March always seems to be the worst month for my plants- the days get longer and brighter, they want to grow, they live in the drought zone of the house and time. they all suffer. Never feel guilty when plants go through periods of neglect. It happens to all of us at some point.
Choosing the right pot is not easy! If a plant is in the wrong pot then I can't keep myself from repotting it again and obv that's no good, so the decision has to be made wisely! And that's why I spray paint a lot of cute shape pots matte plack just cause I find it classy and neutral enough to not worry abt it at all!
Pest control is every watering unless I’m using the hose! And if the root system is wet/moist when I’m repotting I don’t water. But typically it’s dry so I do water in!
Please don’t move somewhere where winter is longer and/or darker!! I don’t think it’ll be great for you!! It’s already hard enough for you, right?! Commenting with love from another former Arizonan. 💚
I’ve never had any issues doing it for years 🤷🏻♀️ I prefer to water with lukewarm water for sure but if I’m going for fast and easy the plants don’t mind the hose
