i want to ask a ques. why the color of leaf become yellow sometimes does it mean that its due to ABA or auxins and if both these are involved then its called as synergestic action ?
Hritik Saini the yellow colour of the leaf is coz it does not get nutrition (water and minerals for photosynthesis ) from plants and due to the absence of photosynthesis the content of chlorophyll decreases and pigments like carotenoids come into function giving leaf a yellow colour. ONLY ABA WORKS HERE( by creating absscision zone) not any other PGR

with great respect, ilyas hussain from Pakistan, Madam, here in our curriculum book there is a sentence which I want to share with you and will be grateful of you if you could explain it to me. the sentence is " ABA promotes the closing of stomata and hence facilitate the influx of water in the roots" now if the stomata is closed there will be transpiration pull, then how it facilitate the influx of water in the roots. thanks
