Thank you for the complete overview of the different growth stages of Columbine. I’d love this type of video for all my native plants!!!

That was a terrific video! I just discovered a single plant flowering in a public lot across my street. I had never noticed it before. I am waiting to collect its seeds for my home garden. Very pretty flowers.

Thank you. I once thought a little shoot was a weed and almost pulled it out!! That’s what I have to collect the seeds, if I can get more plants, I would love to see that.

Red Columbine is one of my favorite native plants. It is an alpine plant which can grow in many places. I was delighted to see some growing at the Akureyri Botanical Garden in Iceland 🇮🇸 not far from the Arctic Circle. We also have some growing at the Kilgore-Lewis House in Greenville, South Carolina.

Nice! The columbine I encounter most frequently while hiking in desert canyons is Aquilegia formosa.

This film is outstanding. Thanks for posting and educating. The time-lapse style of your film really shows the fascinating life cycle of these plants.

To grow from seed it needs to be started in the fall to germinate in the spring. 2 to 3 months cold to germinate.
