Being a student of horticulture you should use gloves while working in the tissue culture lab because the chemical used are very dangerous for skin....overall this was a very helpful vedio..
I worked for coffee tissue culture and have produced over two lakh coffee plants. We never used gloves. Tissue culture chemicals are not dangerous. Chemicals used for genetic engineering, DNA fingerprinting, Cryopreservation etc are dangerous where gloves are required.
More such videos should be there for our knowledge as well as for the clear concept of life science . Well done by csir ihbt for enthusiasts the core interest area of the one core branch of life science. JAI HIND.
dude picked up the bottle from inside the sterile area to wash his hands. no big deal if he used the uv light after he washed his hands, he cross contaminated the clean area. watch the video again and see just what he did, tell me if you all out here with me agree that he cross contaminated the clean area!!? They obviously have the sense of sterilisation and will scrub before entering the laboratory, moreover, the procedure space should have been fumigated before hand ....
Excellent video! Thank you for this practical demonstration of plant tissue culture technique which is very helpful for the students who do not have well-equipped laboratories. We really need more such videos.
Because they are done under highly contamination free places like laminar or tissu culture lab so it's hard to provide these surrounding that's why it is not taught in schools
