I would say I'm a definite 2. I have as many plants as I can care for and it still brings me joy to be around them. I don't make a habit of buying just for the sake of buying. My motto is "if one plant dies......I buy another"! I go on trips as well occasionally and don't want to feel guilty about leaving them for fear they do not get enough water or bright light so therefore I like low maintenance plants.. Your do-it-yourself projects are creative ideas and it sounds like fun as well. Do what brings you joy :))

I will like to see the process of the clay pot wealth. I like the small amount of 30 plants I have. It’s manageable and I can travel. Room for plants to grow large. Bug control. Very nice appearance like a jungle. 🪴Happy Planting🌿

Hi Connie. We share a few goals; combing and making arrangements. I've ordered several grow lights (awaiting delivery on 2 more). Also to get my plant rm more organized with all the supplies. I've got 3 moss poles and have about 3 more to do. My wish list is short and intentional; Sans Kirkii, Philo Ring of Fire, Philo Gigas and a few more Hoya's. Im well over 150 plants. I must combine my Pothos & Dracaena. I have about a dozen floor plants, but they actually take up less space than a bunch of smaller plants. I just up sized my Stromanthe Triostar into a 8" pot and that was a tight fit, so next upsize it will go to the floor or divided. Its a stunner😊 I find it entertaining that we all what plants to grow fast, but what do you do when all these 6" plants need to upsized to 8" or larger pots. Not to mention the even larger plants needing to be upsized. I have done some root trim to keep plants in their current pots, works just fine. Needless to say my spring/summer to do list is very long and overwhelming. Tfs. Blessings everyone in 2024!

Hi Connie, I love this video! Also enjoyed the comments from your viewer as well. I’ve had plants for as long as I can remember. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing your goals for 2024, probably because they mimic mine exactly🤣 I feel like I’m a decent steward of my plants but I know I can do better. 🙂 I will always be interested in buying or even just seeing a beautiful plant. Right now I am most interested in catching up on my plant chores and maintenance. Loved all your ideas for future videos so do what brings you joy. I guarantee you we will be here watching and enjoying. 👌🪴🥰

Great goals! I am feeling a bit overwhelmed with so many plants too so my goal is to have a smaller collection with more meaningful plants. Last year’s obsession was getting a monkey tail cactus. I did find one but I put it outside because it was very skinny and now I have to say that it’s filled out nicely. The rain has not bothered it at all.

I really enjoyed this video. It was very thought provoking for me. On my last watering day I decided to count my plants and was very surprised to learn that I had 175 plants. That's alot for me. I've decided to stop buying plants just for the sake of buying. I made the rounds to throw out those that were sick and struggling. Now I will just concentrate on the ones I have and care for them better ie. water and fertilize when needed. I've learned which plants do well for me and will only buy those if they something I don't have. My favorites are snake plants, pothos and aglaonemas.

Enjoyed your video. I would love to learn how to do the terra coat pot wreath. I have made many other wreaths. But not this one. Thanks for sharing your plant wish list for 2024 I have started one for this year also.

I would like to get the aglaonema jade, too. I would like to downsize, but don't tell my husband that. He told me one day, "Why did you let me buy all of these tools when he was cleaning out the shed?" I told him, "Why did you let me buy all of these plants? At least you don't have to take care of them like I do. I notice I have only bought what I like instead of getting it because I see it on RU-vid. But I look around, and I don't see that many I want to get rid of. Yet!

This year connie I tossed plants when the really were long rehab plants. Ones that grew just ugly my pink princess burle marx Paraiso verde . They just were not flourishing and I was stressed. I mixed philodendron violen aurea with just the green. Those two colors are pretty. Jade philodendron with a neon I can't wait till the blend together. Also a mexicanum with painted lady the contrast of greens are eye catching. Next I want to mix diffenbachia mary Anne with a tiki. Your plants are always healthy looking and pretty.

I also do the same thing. I bought a beautiful full pot of Sansevieria yellow variegated Whales Fin. It was such an eye catcher that I invested in another one. Thank goodness they are both doing beautifully in my bright sunny kitchen window. :)

Connie, I don’t know what causes plants growing vertically to have their leaves grow much larger. I have a common golden pothos growing up a tree in the backyard and the leaves are enormous over a foot across. Maybe more.

Hi there. I see this all the time here in South Florida and they’re beautiful! Invasive but beautiful! ☺️ There is something called thigmomorphogenesis that has to do with the stimulation of a plant through its sensory systems. This might possibly explain it.

I have been getting rid of plants that just don't look good or are not growing. I guess I'm tired of struggle plants. But yes I am looking for more plants especially haworthias and aglaonemas and philodendrons

Hi Connie Brian here again from Arizona thank you for the great video I think in the new year I'm going to do the same thing where I'm trying to work on the plants I currently have and repot those that aren't doing so well. I have a philodendron pink princess that just is not growing for me I think I need to repot and put a different grow light on it It seems very fussy though :-( thank you for the great videos🎉🎉🎉🎉

Hi Connie🙋🏽‍♀️. I've started combining duplicate plants, and it helps. Question: I have an Aglaonema (light green and white rescue from Lowe's). What could be the cause for tightly curled leaves that won't open? Repotted, treated with hydrogen peroxide, etc. but not thriving.

Try giving it more humidity. I also like to spritz the leaves with a mister when this happens.
