Plantashun Boiz was amazing in those days and they're the one that made Nigerians started embrace naija songs before these new skools. The only problem that Black Face & Faze had was scared and was intimedated by 2face songs doubted their abilities whereas knowing that they was also on track then with their own kind of music. I think they would have attain the kind of success 2face today if they had a good management and still doing their own thing uptill today. It's obvious for people that follows the PB then that Kenny broke the group.
Tuface betrayed the group after Kenny Ogungbe confused him. He forget how black face took him from no where house him,feed him and introduced him to many entertainment center in festac town. I was there and I know this guys before the include (Orji )face...............Tuface, is talented musically more than it here and refuse his colleagues to benefit from it as he benefited from his friends......... We lived at the same close in festac town and I know them good.
@@enuguson357 My brother, We lived in the same close In festac and Blackface used to bring Tuface around us .we hang out together and I offer them my uncle popular club where I was managing for free to rehearse. Blackface and DJ spit who was a friend of Blackface introduced Blackface to me and because of that I allowed them to used the club...... After rehearsing we go to 41Rd or 512 junction to eat then Tuface used to drink cocoa Colo till the move to Festac extension. Tuface, didn't treat his friends well mehn! He is only after himself.... Orji, face was leter join them after the want for talent hunt at DBN television station then face was living in 23rd Festac town........We lived together, hangout together, do things in common before I travell out my brother. When Blackface, remember all this it can hurt him.

The advantage 2face had was that he worked with the best in the industry then. Good and popular record label owners like Kenny and d one, a very good producer like ojb who is the genius behind all his hit songs like African Queen, if love was a crime etc. For you to be the best you must work with the best in the industry. 2face had more quality songs than them not because he is a better singer but because of the brains he worked with. You can tell with blackface version of African Queen and the one ojb Jezreel produced for 2face, the instrumental was too much and 2face voice match the rhythm of the beat.
The fact was that the norm then was groups doing solo in the west world while still managing their group tracks and albums. Plantation Boyz wanted to explore that option, same time Kennis Music started courting them. Kenny contributed a lot to the breakup, he wanted to make money with 3 artist solo and a group signing. Kenny was always about money. That's why he left Ray Power FM. The Idris song dissing plantation boyz was plotted to make it happen. Kenny banked on signing the 3 as solo artist and milk money out of their albums. 2 Face was brainwashed by Kenny and he did his solo without informing the 2 others even though they were planning on the solo so it was a surprise to them and they were caught unaware. Kenny the industry father who thinks he is all in all, you can even sense it from his side of the story. He was pushing blames and ridiculing efforts while others were mature in their utterances.
Kenny once worked for Ogun state radio corporation in the early nineties, because of his sister Moji (Raymond Dokpesi's girl friend then - later became wife) kenny had the opportunity to move to Raypower FM, also, at almost same time Dayo Adeneye (D1) joined. Then on a quick succession, Kenny climbed the ladder of authority, himself and D1 started travelling round the world - especially America for entertainment shows - free pass that was given to them because of the relationship between the sister and Dokpesi.

There is life, there is destiny, everything happened for a reason. It has been written. On the other hand, Blackface has a leadership skills, faze and 2face got raw talents, 2face sounds guilty in this interview. He never accepted faze from the beginning. Lastly, Kenny is a business man. If you guys keep putting your emotions before business, you will never make billions. So I'm not gonna blame him.

These guys are good, and one can't but wish they stayed together. But I have great respect and admiration for BlackFaceNaija guy. He is not without his shortcomings but then, he is a legend when it comes to songwriting, and it will always be to his credit, that we had a band like plantashion boiz that led nigerian music on a curve to better local and global acceptance.

@Abisola Abiodun He doesn't need to produce newer artistes. Many record labels today came out through him. He maximized every talent that came out through him. He unleashed the business side of the industry and the record labels today should be grateful to him.
I personally don’t really care the fallout of the Plantation Boys, the collaboration was just too great, the R&B mixed with raga dob, the best boys band ever in Nigeria, the biggest, the most famous ever. I hope they settle their differences and do duet together love you guys
No body broke these guys up. It was their individual destinies. God had to separate Lot from Abraham for both to fulfill their destinies. While we are all amassed in this rubble is because of the success of 2Face. The other guys have had their own high times which may not have been as good but they need to go back to work if they still have something to offer.

This little light of mine I’m going to let it shine. Tuface has a gift and Knows about it but he wouldn’t have gone this far if he had allowed fear and criticism decide his stand. He was born to stand out and that’s exactly what happened. Black face couldn’t accept the change and he allowed too much emotions get to him. He really loved PB. Plus he is a very good writer. Black face has the gift of organization and he could have been able to create more 2faces and faze and even surpass the likes of don jazzy had he stuck to writing and building rather than force himself to be a singer which actually he isn’t.
Faze was actually the brightest and has always intimidated Tuface like mad. Reasons why he always acting like lowering his head each time they are together. Tuface is a coward and a bully. He eventually betrayed everyone including myself. The group was just too OK He let down black and only a greedy ingrate does that
For me I think the 3 really need to come back together as 1 I like the group plan-Boiz & their all talented now from what blackface is saying is just a little misunderstanding between 2face & Black face.
