Hydrangeas! Your garden is so beautiful 😍! put in 28 different hydrangea types in the last year. I now have about 60 in my garden. Can’t wait to see them this year, now that they’re settled 👏
What a beautiful video. The planting and music were very relaxing. Thank you. I love hydrangeas almost better than any other flowering plant and your garden is gorgeous. Tfs. 👏🏻💕👏🏻
Beautiful choices. I just bought a Limetta hydrangea from Home Depot a few days ago. I couldn't believe it. I have been looking for 1 for years and stumbled across one. I also have 2 Bobo 's 2 Little Limes and 2 Lime lights. I'm in zone 6 and they haven't bloomed yet. I can't wait until July😁. Happy gardening!!! Love the music
All your hydrangeas are georgous. They are my favourites too. Can't get enough of looking at them. Love this video, so peaceful watching you plant and so beautiful. More of these please. 🌺🌼🏵️
Such nice size plants! I always start small and have to wait. I do have three though that my late mother in law gave me 26 years ago, and they are large and thriving. I’m excited for you that you’ll have a variety of blooms all summer long. Looks gorgeous! Enjoy. 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌱
Beautiful! Girl, I have to let you know I was watching your amaryllis video on my phone and this video on my iPad AT THE SAME TIME! Lol. I think I have cabin fever. Can’t wait til spring. And why are you so high on the preferred video list? Friendly, informative, same interests, and anyone who has a furball of any kind running around in their video gets auto preference. ☺️☺️ but yeah, I’m loving your vibe. No north lawn flower farm video goes unwatched.
So enjoyed your presentation. I have watched a few of your other videos and am now a new subscriber! Thank you for sharing your love of gardening and also the helpful links! 😊
I totally get what you mean about the lacecaps! They do make our hearts flutter. They’re so so pretty. (Many plants do that to me, especially fall colour)
Northlawn Flower Farms I planted 6 Bobos, 2 Tuff Stuff and 4 Annabelles😆❤️ And thinking about adding another Tuff Stuff Hydrangea to replace a rose that is not doing well this year.
@@Dahliaismypassion Woohoo!!!! I bet that is gorgeous! Please let me know how you like Bobo's. I've been curious how they hold as a cut flower compared to Limelight.
Oh how beautiful your gardens are,, I only have two hydrangeas and I don’t get many blooms,, they are living but not thriving. Maybe I have then In the wrong area
This plant is the one I have had the most problems with in my new garden in Texas. We get you to 100 here. I thought I had them in enough shade but moved them to my porch for now. L o st flowers but plants doing better. I need to know which plants in the Hydranga are tak ed more sun and stay small. I am in zone 8.
Invincible spirit hydrangea 2 is that one plant ? So beautiful!! I love all the ones you planted I’m getting ready to plant a few hopefully I can still find them full like you did
Hi, your hydrangeas are so beautiful! I have an established hydrangea which blooms very well. I bought 2 small potted hydrangea plants last summer from Home Depot which grew bigger with nice leaves now. But they are not blooming yet. What should I do to make them bloom? Please advice.
I'm new subscriber. I love the sound of your voice n the choice of the background sound. Your garden looks fantastic too. I'm in Canada. I love seeing this type of plants everywhere. What is the best fertilizer???? To promote bloom?
Hi there, thank you for your video. I just subscribed to your channel and am hoping to watch some more of your content. I am wondering how you keep the pink and blue colours in the one bed? Do hydrangeas change colour according to the soil? Can you amend the soil around each individual plant? Grateful in advance for the advice.
Everything is so beautiful. Have u heard of the wedding bouquet hydrangea . I have them .they are great for beginner gardeners . Very easy to gro and they spread like crazy
Absolutely beautiful! Love all varieties. Would be helpful to explain how each blooms....on old wood or new wood, etc. did you use any fertilizer when you planted? Thanks for sharing.
Hello! Thank you so much for saying this - I do wish I had pointed that out - my apologies! Big leaf, mountain, and oakleaf bloom on old wood. Panicle and smooth bloom on new wood. I do not use any fertilizer when planting - but all my beds get a layer of homemade compost in the spring and fall. Hope you have a wonderful day!
I’m new to growing Hydrangeas as this is my first garden with shade. I’m a little jealous, as we can’t buy such large specimens here in Sth Australia. Ours come in tiny pots as baby plants. I’d love to be able to plant out a bed and get such a sudden spectacular display. How can you grow pink and blue in same bed when one needs acidic soil and the other alkaline?
Lovely Hydrangea plants :) I've grown cuttings for Hydrangea, Hebe, Buddleia, Spirea & Lavender. Most of these are on my channel header and I made a new Hebe video which shows these cuttings on their journey into big shrubs/plants. Happy Growing :)
I just moved into a new to me house where the previous owners planted six hydrangeas that are mature. Do they have a life span?. Some look great but some are spindly (too much shade?) and so I need to prune. When I lived in zone 4 I cut them back quite a bit but now I am in NC zone 8 - how much should I prune? Should I try to move the struggling ones or prune the trees above, which I like otherwise.
Hi there! Can you let me know what kind of hydrangea you have? Big leaf, smooth, oakleaf, mountain, or panicle? I have two old big leafs as well. My understanding is that they could be 40 years old from neighbors. Panicle and smooth can take a hard cut back. Although it's not normally recommended to cut back big leaf hard, when we first moved here I did cut hard on one that was struggling. You won't see any blooms the year you cut it back. By the third year after pruning it was looking good. Here's a good article from the University of Maryland - extension.umd.edu/hgic/topics/guide-pruning-hydrangeas#:~:text=Sometimes%20bigleaf%20hydrangeas%20become%20overgrown,live%20stems%20with%20flower%20buds.
@NorthernFlowerFarms Thanks for thé reply. There are three blue big leafs, about 5’x5’ and two laceleafs, also blue. I checked out your link. I will just cut out dead wood in spring. 😉
Hello! I have this one on making a hand tied bouquet and there is another on how to create a bouquet with meaning ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yN7s9-3oxiQ.html
I had to stop and replay this video three times (distractions/interruptions) and you got three ad plays out of me. I hope your channel is monetized! 💲💰💸 Is your soil acidic or alkaline? It'll be interesting to see the color of the blooms of the serrata and the macrophylla next year. Right now, they're different but next year, they should match (unless you amend the soil around one of them). That's gonna be interesting. Thanks!
Why did you just make a music video, instead of telling us what you are planting and why and where etc. How frustrating! I want to know as you are doing it. I dont even know hwich plants you are using and why you put them next to each other. This is just a music video.
