I am working on restoring my office after having to vacate everything for new carpet installation. Haven't touch anything since my official retirement in 2017 and it is a mess going though all the files, drawings, etc from my last 25 plus years of work. Your video gave me a rest and inspiration to go outside and work on my new succulent beds/mounds that you have helped to create in all ours years together! So inspiring and caring! Thank you, Laura. We moved into our house in Spain just about a year ago, and it’s a flat 2000 square yards of land topped with white 3/4 inch gravel, around a white marble-tiled patio, with a pool in the middle. I need sunglasses just to go outside, especially as the perimeter walls are white too! Plants are all over the place, planted as single specimens, so this lockdown is becoming my garden’s time to shine, under your direction, through me! I’ve done exactly as you’ve just done for your raised bed......I’ve collected together all the plants from right around the garden that I want to keep and have staged them on and around soil mounds, working out as best I can where they’d be happiest. Thank goodness I bought a couple of dozen plants and a few bags of soil when I realised a quarantine was inevitable........and even more importantly, thank goodness I’ve learned from you about grouping, staging and so on. What I haven’t got yet, I will buy when possible but it’s making me think outside the box too. For instance, I haven’t got many plants yet but the olive and almond groves around us are chock full of big rocks right around the edges. So we are collecting the ones we can carry every time we walk the dogs! Exercise for them AND for my arm and back muscles! Can’t wait to see what you’ll be talking about next, Laura.....you’re my daily fix! xx

I started off just trying to not kill these plants, now I'm starting to create something with them because of you. I have always respected your gifts and knowledge in landscaping/succulents, but now you have my respect for your wisdom. Fast forwarding 2 months from this video, and taking into consideration the current events. Your words of wisdom in this video, could have saved alot of people alot of stress, if they just followed the golden rule. Treat everyone the way you would like to be treated, or just treat them with respect. The vast majority of todays animosity will disappear.

I too put up on my FB page today a positive note. I was very sad yesterday as for my mother is very ill and I’m not sure if she’s gonna make it through all this virus stuff? She lives in Hawaii and I won’t be able to get to her if anything should happen? I am heartbroken. 💔😔 So I woke up this morning, after a horrible day yesterday and am simply making the best out of a bad situation. Which is all any of us can do right now. Thank you for making this video! I purchased a Vegtrug planter right before this pandemic and I have been trying to find videos of someone making a succulent garden in it. I even more motivated to finish it now.
Turned out so pretty. Keep it going loving watching you transform a space. I wish I could keep succulents growing but I love them to death so I really enjoy these videos. I do well with perennials.
