Can we bring SA Glossy Black-Cockatoos back to the mainland?
We’ve teamed up with WWF-Australia and local landholders to plant 19,000 food and nesting trees on Fleurieu Peninsula. The aim is to provide habitat options for birds crossing the water from Kangaroo Island (KI).
We’re planting in priority locations based on SA glossies’ needs and preferences (and proximity to KI) and we’ve used seed from different temperature and rainfall zones of South Australia so these trees will be as ready as possible for whatever climate change brings.
