Your joy is infectious! Loved everything about this video: seeing Aaron as a Daddy, seeing baby Benjamin & Russell, seeing your Momma loving on her grandson & seeing you get back to your garden...even if it was just a little bit. Thank you, Laura!!
Laura, you are and will continue to be a terrific mom. The way you coo to cats and the little guy, plus your fondness for and respect for Arron leaves little room for doubt. Thanks for the intro to hellebores.
Hello Laura, last year I picked up a 5 gallon container of Hellebores Frostkiss Anna’s Red from Filoli Gardens, Woodside, CA. I picked this plant not for it’s flowers but for it’s beautiful foliage. I planted it in a container on the north side of our Home. It is sooo low maintenance and have since fallen in Love with the blooms!!! We purchased a property in Zone 4b and planning to grow these plants there. Thank you sooo much for all your care tips!!! You are very much appreciated and a delight to watch your family and garden grow. ✨
Hi, I'm a guy from Scotland who came across your YOU TUBE site by chance. I have gardened all my life ever since I was 12yrs old when my parents gave me a small plot in their garden. I have recently had to give up my house which had a large garden and have had to down size house and garden for medical reasons but have been lucky to end up with a patio which I have had great pleasure in planting up with pots of varying sizes. Watching your videos has given me great pleasure and spend rainy days watching them.. Keep up the good work. Ian
So exiting to see pretty flowers so early! They're going to look beautiful. And it was such a treat to see Benjamin awake and to hear his sweet voice. I've been waiting for that! It's so much fun watching you and Aaron being new parents! 🌺💖
Oh, my word... You are such a sweet and loving mother. It is a joy to see you all together. I have raised 3 babies and really, all you need is stamina and loving intentions.
I live in the willamette valley and I'm so grateful for this mild winter. I'm pretending it's spring and shopping at our local nursery. Benjamin is darling! You're doing awesome, mommy!
Your smiling face, baby Benjamin and Aaron just made my morning! Love the ""spring" touches around your door and seeing all of the color at the nursery. 🌸🌷🌹
New this past year to your channel and it is really sweet to see this video from when Benjamin was so tiny. He is just growing in the gardens.. Thanks for sharing with us! 🌸
Laura, i was the same... i had never even held a baby until my son was born! i was nervous too, and i remember thinking "i have no idea how to hold him, take care of him, etc" but it is amazing how quickly we (both men & women) do adapt to it though. my son is 9 now :-)
The star of this video....Benjamin! Thanks for more footage of him. And Laura, I just love color too, Spring means to me the Earth is still alive. And your mom, well she looks too young to be a grandma. Thanks again.
Thanks for sharing your precious baby boy with us!!!!! My husband and I were the same as you...we had never been around babies much at all...especially newborns! I also had a c-section (almost 28 years ago) and back then you stayed in the hospital at least 4 days. Even though I wanted to get home...we were afraid to go home and be on our own!!! So funny when I think back about it...but we caught on quickly! Loved seeing all of the beautiful flowers...still very cold an snowy here! Thanks for sharing!
Doesn't it feel so good to be back outside in the yard and planting flowers after being inside for a few weeks. Enjoy your mommy breaks outside! Thank you for another great video.
OMG! baby Benjamin is so adorable, and us in Idaho are enjoying a milder winter, and hopefully milder spring, I'm loving this winter more than last winter, it was a horrible cold icky winter. Have fun with your beautiful baby, thanks for this video.
Laura I can't believe how alike we are!! I was raised on a farm and loved mowing, planting flowers etc. My Grandmother on our farm had a HUGE perennial garden at her home and I got the gardening bug from her. I have a degree in Landscape Design/Hort and LOVE my career! I am in Illinois, Zone 5. Your videos are incredible and your personality is similar to mine. :) Also, I had my son later, at 33 yrs old like yourself. I too was never around babies or babysat except my younger brother and that doesn't count LOL!! Thank you for your videos, sharing your beautiful life and especially for inspiring this older 52 yr old, who is young at heart but aching in the back and hips, to keep my hands dirty in the gardens! You have re-ignited my love for plants and my list is VERY LONG for the 2019 season!!! God Bless!!
love how you bring to our attention specific plants and give details about them. So many I haven't seen or heard of. I think it was you who said Helleborus is great for ugly shade. I got three of them in white, red and pink. Ugly shade is a challenging area and these plants are gorgeous.
The pots are gorgeous! I think I love the color you ended up with much better than the original bright pink you were going to get. It’s serene and perfect for the winter/spring season. Also, I love getting sneak peeks of Benjamin. He is absolutely sweet!
August in my garden, never heard of hellebores but you inspired me and I have three in my revamped garden. Looking forward to next year to see how they look, also have about ten different hostas, two colors of asters and several pretty little Lady's Mantel. Lots of work but worth it.
It seems sooo early for all of this flower planting in this region...but how neat! I hope the weather doesn't take a nasty turn. One day it's 50 degrees where I live...now we have 5 inches of snow. Crazy weather!!! You are lucky to have your family's magnificent garden center to get your flowers from. 🌼🌷🌼
Yay, you're back! I've been watching your videos all week. There amazing, the patience you have with all the gardening you do. Congrats on your bundle of joy, he's adorable. Take care, looking forward to another video.
I'm so happy to see you all. Benjamin is so adorable. Seeing you planting gave me the incentive to start my gardening. I already started but I still need to mow my backyard. Thank you for taking the time to do this video.
Oh my, seeing you holding baby at beginning took me back to when my babies were born. (They are grown now). Love the video. The planters are so pretty with the hellebores and I have to say, you are looking great. Motherhood seems to agree with you. Thanks for sharing! 🌞
Laura you are amazing, always working , and your husand is a great dad, you both do a great team, God bless your marriage and your georgeous boy. Amen.
So happy for you, baby, flowers, Russell, all doing so well!! I planted some beets yesterday!! Know how you feel. It is my zen time being out in the yard/garden!! Bless you and your family!!
I love replanting containers. You had some great plants to choose from! Congratulations on the birth of your son, and thanks for giving us a peek at him! Tfs💕💕💕
This was such a nice video. You and Aaron, precious baby Benjamin, sweet little Russell and new spring flowers for your pots by the door. Couldn't ask for more. :)
Hellebores are amazing! A friend gave me one about 4 years ago..she had bought an old house with a very overgrown and neglected garden. She came across a few hellebores and knew I had always wanted some, and gave one to me. It was in rough shape, and last winter (Feb2017) I discovered it blooming for the first time. The blooms lasted for months! Some day I plan on having a large patch of them under the oak tree.
Thanks for taking us along to your garden center! Totally agree, seeing color does the heart good! What a difference from last year regarding how much snow you have. . .Enjoy the early spring. You have a beautiful family. Take care:)
Congratulations on the borth of you baby. Your an amazing young woman and I love that you are so happy to share your knowledge with all of your viewers ❤
Last year's roof project ... I remember the trip to home depot!!! I love Aaron's drone footage & his editing ....perfect. The flowers and baby look wonderful!!
I had never really considered Hellebores, but liked the deep rose ones, the greeny-white ones not so much. Can't believe how quickly you have recovered from your C-section and how much energy you have! Michigan is still icy and cold, although first layers of snow melted in time for more coming Superbowl Sunday. Not much chance of Spring til Mid-March, so will have to enjoy yours. Enjoy you all so much! Pixie
Just lovely, both the plants and you! And baby Benjamin and Russell! I was wondering how the only "child" Russell would do with the wee one. Sounds about right, but he'll likely soon be protecting him! Though you are beautiful as ever, even more with new Mommy glow, it's easy to see you've got that late night mommy shine too! I know with my first, even if she didn't wake up I'd still get up worried and just stare at her for hours! It's such a wondrous time! Smiles and blessings...
Omg at the beginning you looked kind of sleepy and wintery but boy, coming back from garden centre with all your goodies you were shining and glowing 🌸
I am so jealous right now. Our garden center doesn't have any outside plants. Our ground is still froze. Thank-you for explaining the hellebores!!! I learn so much from you that I can share with my customers. I too live in zone 5 b
Oh so glad I watched this video.got to see Baby Benjamin .loved to see the color and the hellebores. It looked beautiful.Makes me wish it were spring already.
I am so jealous! I really enjoyed seeing all the bright, beautiful flowers. It is snowing as I am writing. Boo! Oh well, I will live vicariously through you. Benjamin is such a cute, little peanut. Enjoy him!💜💜
I love my hellebore and have been searching for more every year but it's always the same variety. I will be ordering me several this year. The one I have has been blooming since New year's and it's still beautiful and full of flowers in the middle of May. Can't beat this plant in my opinion. Love your videos. Seriously all of them.
hehehe! I had to stop the video to tell you that I can totally understand about Benjamin being the first baby that you've ever been around! I'm so glad you said that! It was the exact same for me! But that doesn't matter one tiny bit -- we are both awesome moms! Woot!
Such a pretty Hellebore or Lynton Rose as we call them in TN. They almost look smoky. Glad you are having a better winter this year. Y’all had it really bad last year. Worst that I personally have ever seen. We got snow last night and it’s in the low 20s today. Thanks for sharing sweet Benjamin with us. He is so precious. Russell loved being out there with you! Until next time, take care and keep snuggling the little one! 💙👶🏻🐈
I'm from Carpinteria CA I'm going to be buying hellebores this year and lots and lots of flowers and Greenery after the fire and the floods the hills are all burnt and its sad so I'm excited about buying Lots of flowers. love the video and This is the first time I've seen Benjamin with his eyes open he's so adorable
I just scored a hellboro for $5! It was a rescue effort from my local grocer. But I had no idea how to care for it. So thank you, as always, for a new video!
Thank you for the motivation now to plant too here In zone 7. Removed Magnolia cuttings placed in urns Nov. They rooted! So kept in place. Keep including precious Benjamin. You look great! I have a daughter following you too..
The planters and the wreath look beautiful!!! We are having a cold, snowy winter here in Minnesota. Your baby is so cute and by the way, you are soooo pretty and so is your Mom!
So nice to see you back with so much energy! Dang, how do you do it? Darling , darling baby Benjamin is so blessed with great parents, grandparents etc nearby. Nice weather for sure. I’m near Boise and none of us can believe the difference from last year ,but we’ll take it! Love your choice of flowers. So pretty! Love your signature wave👋😉
I love that you planted some hellebores.I love your ideas. I think I would have wanted some primroses also.Good Job! Thanks for scratching my garden itch a little for me.
I saw the garden center the other day and was so wishing I hadn't flown over from Washington. I had to be happy with some seeds and an air plant. Everyone was super helpful and nice! Everything was just as you video'd! Just love your videos and I check to see if there is a new one every day.
Yaaaay! been snowing like crazy here in sweden all day so was looking through your old garden tour videos(which i've already watched multiple times), so excited for new video! :)
So so pretty! I'm one zone warmer than you with the same type of soil pH and everything here I'm western Colorado and our weather has been exactly the same as yours! I'm thinking that I'll plant up a pot outside my front door this this next week for my birthday. Also Russel is so big! I really love these types of videos. I didn't go anywhere without someone to help me with my son until he was probably 3 months old but that was an icy winter. Oh those stuffed animals that you heat up in the microwave were a life saver for cold outings for him. No big coats needed, just the warm stuffy and blankets. Well and sweaters too.
So lovely to see baby Benjamin, such a little cutie pie. You’ve inspired me to go out and buy some hellebores as we are heading into Autumn here in Melbourne Australia
