You mentioned that you keep them on a watering schedule throughout the winter... Can you share more about that? How do you keep the hose from freezing? What about the soil itself, doesn't it freeze eventually into a solid chunk of ice? I am in Zone 6, for reference. Thanks!

So I was watching a european garden designer and she takes all the bottoms out of her pots and she doesn't have to water them once the roots get tot eh ground.

I like how u dont waste money on pots every year or two .And risk disturbing it from growing . People are afraid of smaller plants in bigger pot .just make sure u have good soils that drains well,good drainage holes an dont water it as much. I have small plants in big pots an they are doin fantastic.I just dont like keep buying pots they to expensive for me. But that big might be over doin it It will be to heavy to move if u have to. Because if it raining all day an its outside u dont want it flooded.just choose wisely.
