Do you still have that Oliver planter? Have someone 3D print a planter plate for it. Or you could print two plates for 1240 and skip every other row, and if you're set on pumpkins, buy two more seed boxes and just swap them out. Also deer will eat pumpkin, though not till later in the season. The goats should love the pumpkins!
A better way ? 🤔 That way is ok for a garden pumpkin . You could use a TWO ROW CORN PLANTER set up with LIMA BEAN planting disc . That's how all the commercial farmers do it.
