I’m so glad to see there’s another gardener out there who believes in cutting all the flowers off a petunia when first planted!! I actually do this several times throughout the summer because I find they get leggy so fast.
Corey, your videos are so informative and down-to-earth! Love your style, your amazing plant knowledge, and your willingness to experiment with different plants. I learn so much from you about different varieties of plants. THANK YOU!
I finally had fabulous containers when I started using PW annuals, but unfortunately the cost has almost doubled here. I’m mixing in some more affordable options this year and really appreciate you sharing info on varieties from multiple brands.
The prices in some areas -especially in suburban communities - has gone crazy. If you find some alternatives or have questions about specific varieties, let me know.
4 minutes in, and already knew I'm subbing! This is my channel!! Thank you for your content flower 🌼 🌸 NEW SUB🌸🌼 Also I LOVE beat your neighbors fertilizer. Been using it for 7+ yrs now.
I’m afraid of Calibrachoa, but absolutely love them. Love all your combos, especially the one with the cappuccino calibrachoa and lysimachia. OMG!! …..
Corey- you are in my head…. I was planting my containers today. I was pondering if I should add one more vista to my pot. I literally heard your voice in my head, you told me not to add it…. LOL. Thanks for the advice…..
How did I just find out about these this year! I bought two of them this summer and they immediately started blooming they are so cool. I may have to get some more next year depending on what these look like full grown 😂
Beautiful recipes. In my area, Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada...I wish we had options of purchasing the PW's in a bigger pot. I look forward to seeing the growth. Great job
Lol! You did exactly what i did with all my forty-five 30" water saver containers. When water stands in dark very humid conditions here in south Texas it will become smelly like a septic tank gone bad. No amount of gorgeous, fragrant blooms above can erase that! I live that Flower Showers Golden Harvest Petunia you used. Hope i can fine it online soon.
Great recipes, and thanks for the tip on the fertilizer. I'm hit and miss on a fertilizing schedule, so my goal this season is to pick a day of the week and try to stick with it.
writing from central BC Can zone 3. Love your program and your knowledge, we are trying lots of new plants this year! Still freezing at night (May 15) 2024. All my planted tubs (20" metal ) are covered at night and still in my carport! I have cheated many times with purchased hanging baskets with great luck also added more plants if there was room, I had great luck in the past, also, learned from you how vital the soil, and fertilizing is. Using Miracle Grow planting mix, and 20-20-20 liquid fertilizer once a week. Unfortunately, our growing season is extremely short, end of May to Sept if your lucky, so I never trim my pertunias because it takes to long for them to recover sometimes. Cory you are the best! thank you for being such a good host and teacher, i look forward to all your videos! Bless you.
We really enjoy all of your honest videos! We have learned so much! Thank you! If we ever get that far up North we will def be stopping in! We live in southwestern Michigan
I live here by them. Ive actually only went there once and they were closing when I showed up so I didnt get to look around but following them on Facebook it looks like a great nursery. I know they are popular for people here. I think this is a place you should plan a weekend trip or even a day trip to come visit. It will be worth it.
The pink impatiens and calibrachoa in the pot towards the middle of the video are gorgeous together. I liked watching as you keep pulling up empty planters full of dirt from below the table. I'm zone 3b...but we had a bunch of warm weather, so my plants are outside.
Smart not putting them out yet. I’m in zone 4a and the other day it snowed! The soonest I’ll be putting them out is the end of May or beginning of June. I love your flower combos.
Hi Corey love the choices of color in the pots you did but that strawberry one is just beautiful I have a lot of pinks this yr and theirs Memorial day sales going on 😂 Now I have a list to look for! Have a great day and thank you these all look beautiful.
Corey, you do a fantastic job very beautiful. would pick any of these are all the more the merrier for me with restraint control.Have a blessed day the oklahoma gardener
Corey, can you pretty please plant up PW's *All Fired Up* (Calibrachoa, Superbena, and Nemesia) and *Garden Party* (Supertunia, Superbena, and Sweet Potato Vine) 🙏🤞 I'd love to see you plant these with updates throughout the season. It took me two days of binge browsing but I managed to view all 1272 recipes (106 pages). I want to try these recipes but it might be tough to find the plants because stores and greenhouses are pretty much emptied by Mothers Day in my area.
I thought I was supposed to always rough up the root ball, but you didn’t especially on the argyranthemum. So it’s not necessary? It sure looks easier when you don’t rough up.
Under most circumstances, roots will grow toward healthy soil and don’t need to be disturbed (and there’s a small chance that handling the roots could potentially expose them to disease). I only disturb the roots if they are extremely root bound… or if they are plants I can divide (just annuals can’t be divided that way).
Verbena does well in the ground. I’ve found roses come in thorny and more thorny, but there might be some less thorny ones - I just haven’t seen them for my zone.
