Welcome back for Part 2 of the Summer Dining Patio Makeover! I’m planting out the second trio of containers along with the front porch pot. Fresh whites, buttery yellow and hints of blue. I can’t wait to see these fill in!

Your place looks so beautiful, and your containers are gorgeous! I see why you chose yellow plants-it’s because they make the blue pots pop! The sweet potato vine and the dark coleus make the white pot pop! The yellow /chartreuse ties the whole thing together. I have been working on my yard since the beginning of March and I still don’t have everything planted. I am burnt out and exhausted, my yard looks bad and my head hurts. However, I planted a yellow rose in a large blue pot, and the blooms make the pot a beautiful focal point.

Oh I feeeeeel that. If you want some encouragement, go back and watch my cut flower video where I show what I’m starting with. It’s taken me weeks and weeks to just get three rows under control and this past weekend I felt the same way. But then I remember how good it’s going to feel to be surrounded by flowers this summer and I keep going. You’ve got this. Just keep drinking in the satisfaction of all the work you’ve already done! And if you need to take a day off, I give you permission. We all need to recharge from time to time. 💕

Oooooo so pretty!! Those containers themselves are an awesome pop of color and different textures! I have to give you another great big thank you and a hug, for a piece of Marilyn’s Magic! My tubers are happy and slowly waking up! The eyes are bright and hairy little roots are growing! Yay!!!!! My tubers are waking up too. The cut flower garden is slow and steady. I have three rows fully weeded and mostly planted. I have 4 pathways mowed and somewhat under control. It doesn’t sound like a lot, but it’s taken many many weekends. I’m going to include it in the May garden tour!
