Why trust a groundhog to predict Spring when your plants can do better. When my daffodils emerge, it's time to start cabbage, kale, and pepper seeds indoors; when they bloom, it's time to put cabbage, kale and other cold weather plants in the ground; and when the primrose starts blooming, it's time to start tomato seeds indoors. Learning to read your plants will make you a better gardener!
