Correction and clarification regarding mosquito species and their diseases: Aedes mosquitoes are the carriers of many viral diseases including Zika, dengue, chikungunya, yellow fever, and Rift Valley disease. Anopheles mosquitoes are best known for spreading malaria, although they can transmit other diseases as well.
Hey polite voice....that marigold..geende ka phool..never grows.it dry within a months..I bought twice that plant but both dry within a month. This the only plant which not growing.. remaining all plants grow properly. Why so like that...this geenda merigold is like challenge for me
Hi, pls do a video on how to grow bonsai vegetables and fruits plants which need less water in home. Thanks alot. I'm learning more about plants from ur videos. I want to grow vegetable and fruits bonsai plants which need less water.
Hey! Fellow Assamese here. I just wrote a similar experience on the comments about my experience with Tulsi and mosquitos. I guess our mosquitos are very resilient. Nothing seems to kill them. Tried every method in the book except the biopesticide called "Biocide-S" which kills mosquito larvae. Couldn't find it here.
That's such a good explanation - it's so helpful that you have done research because your information comes across as so authoritative. Very much enjoyed this video.
very articulately pictched...genius how you steered it from a gardening video to your work to travelling and then come the pitch, that was brilliant plotting !! this channel is growing on me.
Hi there! I’ve been having trouble with the Scale insects and Aphids on the Jade. Also larva like insects in the soil. Sometimes too many ants can be found in the flowers like hibiscus. Some insects like ladybugs help to keep harmful insects away. These may be helpful in the gardens if not in the house. It would be wonderful to know about them and any natural ways of keeping the good ones and getting rid of the bad ones.
I am from kolkata, India. I have facing the same problems with house lizard. But now I have realized the main issue is not lizard but other creatures like cockroach, house fly, spider etc . Clean your area specially kitchen sink and toilet properly. If the roaches stop growing, lizards never come again your house. This habit is very fruitful for my house at least. 😊
Hey, could u make a similar video on how to deal with rats and rodents in garden?? Because I am facing a lot of difficulty, Everytime I pot a plant in a few days it's uprooted by these rodents.Would be really helpful if u did a video on it.And one amazing channel you have, love it❤️
When I learnt that marigold flowers act as repellent to mosquitoes and if kept in front of windows , will restrict entry of the insects .I have two dozen pots of flowering merigold in my garden, and thought of using them for the purpose. When I went to fetch them I was shocked to see mosquitoes siting merrily on the full bloomed merigold !! It appears that everybody is copying and posting in U tube , without having slightest practical knowledge !!
Hi Sunil, thanks for writing. The video post is based on scientific publications. Now I do understand that you want to challenge that because of your personal observation. You can be right about mosquitoes happily enjoying on marigold, as opposed to the research studies, however there are a couple of facts I would like to highlight: The research studies that I back my presentation here suggest that marigold is a repellant to certain mosquito species that I have mentioned in the video. I am not sure which species you observed. Plus in the video I talk about various other ways to avoid mosquitoes. The idea is to present the scientific information available and practical hacks that know about. You can choose to agree or disagree. It might work and may not. Anyway I am trying my best to help out.
Thank you for this video. There are some moth like insects which are typically found around grains. I also noticed similar insects around nuts and tamarind. Are there any plants that would help repel them? Or if you could just share a video on plants that repel a variety of insects like fruit flies, flies, moths, etc. it would be helpful.

Please make a video on setting up a vertical garden. Cover information, like: - Setting up the planters and panels. - Types of plants (both indoor and outdoor names) for vertical garden . - Setting up a water drip system.
Hi Ekta, I am an Agricultlral Entomologist graduated from Banaras Hindu University. You have not mentioned about the main plant "citronella " which is the mosquito repellent plant. And as per my knowledge marigold helps to reduce nematodes in soil.
Hi Thanks for writing you are right .. But I didnt mention citronella and a couple of other plants because they are not very common in our daily lives..
Ok Ekta. And yeah if you are talking about the familiar plants ,then you should mention the chrysanthemum, which is a great source of pyrethrum (even more than marigold). However you are doing a great job . I am really happy to see some PhD grad is doing such work , giving the genuine idea . Good luck.
Forget mosquitoes, my Croton attracting ants out of nowhere. Don’t know what kind of nutrients are they getting , but I’ve seen those ants carrying yellow wasp on their back ,I backed off ..
I'm not particularly scared of insects in general. Housefly is something that becomes extremely bothersome during certain months. If you have any tips to deal with those? Plus I have incapacitating lizard phobia, any solutions for that? BTW I find you avery sweet and good natured person😍
Thanks mem this is the great advice for mosquito. I have join this channel when you have around 25000 subscriber and now it is above 300k just because of your very helpful tips and great content. Thank you again.

Beetles ! I'm terrified of them . Wasp too . On the first night I bought my plants I noticed these two insects flying around my balcony including a moth . I screamed so loud and ran inside . I even turned off the light .to make sure they weren't being attracted to my porch because of the lit light . But now it's Ben day number 5 and I have not seen anything creepy looking flying around my porch . So was it my screams or perhaps the marigold that is keeping them away ? I have a marigold
