Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville is the newest installment in the Plants vs. Zombies series. Founders Edition released on the Xbox One, PS4 & PC a few days ago and it gives you access to several modes. Here's what I think about it so far, as well as some funny moments with some friends.

The PvZ shooters are really cool. In retrospect, the series is a lot more of a Team Fortress 2 successor than Overwatch ended up becoming despite the initial comparisons. Wacky and goofy, solid class based mechanics, objective focused map design, it has everything. Even if the concept doesn't sound like it would work, a class based shooter based on a super simple tower defense game, the amount of charm and polish the games have made up for it in spades.

In the first one you never needed to buy coins. You always got a decent amount from a match, and it would only take a couple before you could buy a card pack or two.

@@ForgeLabs what I would have said is just kind of review the whole pvz shooter series, because I this entire series needs some love, because it itself puts so much love into the details and everything. And I always am amazed at the fact that my favorite franchise of all time is by EA and has never been that pay to win, or pay to play. Even pvz 2 is OK and very much enjoyable and beatable without paying money

I remember in the original one, I had a zombie move called the jump shot, which consisted of jump jetting, and then immediately firing the rocket launcher in mid air. The amount of groups I killed with it still baffles me.

13:50 When playing an FPS, a sniper looking at you through a scope can be indicated by the lens glare that reflects off the scope lens, most of the time implying that they are looking at or near you, signaling that you should move. But when PvZ Battle For Neighborville does this with the cactus it’s fucking terrifying.
