This is a bit of a follow up to my previous video for GW1 ( • Plants vs Zombies Gard... ), here in this video is dedicated server for PvZ GW2 running using retail client executable.
What's interesting and cool about this one is that it is running much better and much more stable than GW1 dedicated server. Unlike GW1, there's very little to none client initialization that was made during server startup. You might've probably notice that the status values for FPS, UpTime, PlayerCount, etc. are not available. That's because the status box contents have been stripped completely from server window and i had to re implement a simple custom re implementations like the level names, platform, game modes, and hosted mode. Also one thing that i think is a little bit interesting is that the Heal Flower ability is actually an AI player (you can see at 2:55 where the server log reported ID_H_WEAPON_SUNFLOWER_HEAL_TURRET has joined).
Besides hosting actual games, mods can also be applied into the dedicated server allowing for modded gameplay (as you can see that everything is unlocked from the server side).
Like in my previous video, this one is also a PoC but we might see more later since the demands of private server for GW2 is pretty high.
