In this Sims 2 Lore & Stories video, we're exploring the Greenman Family - the PlantSims of Riverblossom Hills. This neighborhood was introduced with the Seasons expansion and provides many interesting stories. Most of the households are interconnected, which makes for fun neighborhood-wide gameplay.
The Greenman family consists of Jason Greenman, his wife Rose (a PlantSim) and their baby Daisy (also a PlantSim). Jason discovered a secret society of PlantSims living in the mountains while hiking with his brother Gabe. He fell in love with Rose and she returned with him to become his wife. Now, he wants to become a Plant Sim too!
Then there's the story of his brother Gabe and his ex-wife, who left him to become a Dread Pirate. Riverblossom Hills has a lot of drama. But in my opinion, the most interesting story is that of The Greenmans and the discovery of the mountain PlantSims.

Oops! I mistakenly said Rose and Jason met when Rose was a teen, but that is obviously not right since PlantSims don't have a teen life stage. (That's what I get for writing a script when I'm sleep deprived.) They actually met shortly after she aged from toddler to "adult" which I guess you could say is a PlantSim's teen years...or something.

So, in my very first game of the sims, I made my sim self. She met Jason from the welcome wagon, and they had a ton of attraction, so I had them start going out. I had no idea he was married! After I found out, I got them caught cheating so Rose would hate him, then switched to their household and got them divorced. I didn’t know that would mean she’d run away and instantly leave the household. So she left, and then his carpool came, and he left. Daisy. All. Alone. I got no warning and I didn’t know!! Social services came and took her. Then I went back to my sim self and got them married. I still can’t look the Greenman family in the eyes. 🙈

My Sims 4 save files always end up delving into chaos as I end up creating my own fun. Which usually involves drugs, broken marriages, and lots of WooHooing. Actually, when I put it that way, it isn't all that different from Sims 2.

Back when Sims 2 was still coming out with new official content I basically only played in Pleasantview or a custom hood. I knew that PlantSims existed, but had no idea what they did or even how to get them. Imagine my surprise when I decided to make a massive farm and one of my Sims starts wheezing from pesticides, only to turn green and leafy.

I've not played much with Riverblossom, but what little I have has been thr Greenman family. I usually don't have Jason become a Plantsim, mostly because I love the idea of him and his wife being different species who love each other for their differences. They do usually have another kid though, also with a plant name. :)

The one time I played Riverblossom Hills, I ended up locking Jason upstairs and creating a Plantsim dynasty across the entire town.

I love all the little details in the Sims 2 like how they actually put relevant items in Alexandra’s inventory and how all the Sims in town are connected in some way or another. Unlike in the Sims 4 the bio will tell you that two Sims are friends/enemies/lovers but when you actually check the relationships they’ve never met

I’d love to hear your take on Olive Spector and Nervous Subject (especially) both from Sims 2 and 3. I’ve heard lots of theories, but mostly on her Sims 2 story. I’d love to know how it relates to her Sims 3 story too. (And really any crossover between the Sims 2/3 Sims).

I didn't think I would be all that interested in playing Plant Sims. . .until I started playing Plant Sims. I love them! I do wish that they could have Plant Sim babies with their partners, though. With the Greenmans, I had Jason become a Plant Sim and soon produced his own spore, Lily (who looks like she'll become a Romance sim). Rose has opened a successful flower shop, A Rose By Any Other Name, and she and Jason (along with the girls) are happily living their Plant Sim lives.

They should've named Jason -- Jack. You know, like Jack and Rose from the Titanic lol Also, wish Alexandria was in another world that would involve Pirates. But when I heard of that, it reminded me of OUAT where Rumple's wife leaves to become a pirate. Also, this video made me go on a 15-minute tangent of reading about OUAT again and I forgot how amazing and complex the show really is.

Omg I loved every single second of this video, rewatched it 3 times now. I'd love to see more videos like this especially about the Goth, caliente, pleasant and the broke family, cuz let's face it, pleasantview has the best drama in the game. Riverblossom hill is my second favorite out of all Sims 2 pre-made neighborhood. The lore here is like a cheap love series, but it is still complex. The Roths are... uhm... familiar...

This was a really fun video to watch! For me, the plantsims weren't love at first sight at all (although the greenhouse architecture sure impressed me lol). I've grown quite fond of them through this family. Especially with the mods that make the lifespan of a plantsim more similar to regular sims.

I always thought that Betty Golstein and Catherine Viejo were inspired by Caliente sisters, they have Fortune and Romance aspirations just like them plus they both are involved with Mcgreggor/Don

I loved playing Leod McGreggor in Riverblossom Hills just because if you look at his hidden gender preference, you find out he’s interested in men. I found it funny that so many women were hoping to get his attention, just to find out he’s entertaining a gentleman visitor.

Oh man...I never really play with premade sims any other town other than in Pleasantview. If I play in Riverblossom Hills it's always just been with my own sims that I made. This makes me want to play with their stories!

Hello Cindy 💜 i played the Greenman's when i first had Seasons EP because i was curious to know what a plantsim was but that was a loooooong time ago and never played with them again. Years later (present) i created a sim with a story i invented for my game. An adventurer that wright books about her adventures and one of her adventures was meeting a community of plant sims. I knew plantsims were a thing but I never really knew anything about them. One day I decided to create a farmer family, where the man was on the fields for the whole day. One day he did turn into a plant sim and I was shocked! Of course, I did NOT save once the entire time 😅 was proper mad lol. They could at least ask 😃

I love the Greenmans and O'Mackeys! Definitely my fave families from Riverblossom Hills! I've never tried to change Jason into a plantsim; I guess in my mind, he would probably have stayed behind with the plantsim community and married Rose there if that were the case. I've also never made Rose into a human though either! In my old Riverblossom save, Patricia and Cleo went on vacation with Gabe and Jules to smooth over the tension, and Cleo and Jules ended up falling for each other. Jules definitely didn't care so much about her dad and Patricia after that!

Personally my favorite family is the Roth's and because Stella Roth has so much in common with Bella it often paints a theory I have since she too was a romance sim maybe she was bored of Mortimer and that's why she went to Don's roof but grew a conscience mid romance and turned him down

in my game i have inteen and acr installed. jacob managed to get sandra pregnant with twins while they were still teens. then he and jules went to college together and lived in the same dorm and he got her pregnant in their freshman year and then again in their junior year. and that was all via acr. the tea was wild in that save file.

I remember one time when I played the sims 2 and I was maybe 8-9 years old? My mother had bought Sims 2 and a lot of add-ons when she was younger. Once when I was in that city of the seasons (I don't remember the name) I noticed the greenest house and I didn't even know it was one at the time. I went to play the economy and then tried to *play* that economy. I got Vihersim and her boyfriend a child. When vihersim was pregnant, I realized how difficult it is to take care of her because she doesn't live like other people. It started to annoy me. When the sim had a child, it was taken away from me almost immediately. (I did it on purpose). Then the green one died. I panicked because I only had a couple of sims die during my gaming moments. I tried to leave the game suddenly but I didn't realize then that it doesn't help anything. otherwise I wouldn't have panicked so much but he was a different kind of sim. I started to panic mostly because I was afraid that it would be somehow dangerous and that my mother would get angry (she didn't even play the sims anymore except too rarely). When my mother came home from work (I was alone at home) I went to her crying and explained everything and she was just amazed and she didn't care at all because it wasn't important. But yeah, I just wanted to tell you about my own experience!😍
