someone in my neighborhood tried to set up a plant trading stand, except no one traded plants and also the person who set it up didn’t try to take care of the ones on the stand that didn’t get traded, so they all just died

fun fact!! plants grow towards light as a response. what happens is the cells near the light restrict their growth so that the cells on the darker areas grow more/bigger and tilt it to maximise sunlight gathering.

When Vining plants get so long that they cover practically yor whole house, they could die because the plant hasn't the Energie to get nutrition in each one so you could just cut one in half an place it into a new hanging pot. They'll love it

0:50 um I’m pretty sure misting isn’t good. I think using a humidifier is the best way to increase humidity.

Yup! Unless you super fine mist them from high up, the drops on the leaves will cause spots and rot

@@monke1919 based on what I’ve seen, I don’t think it’s good. It doesn’t do anything to humidity, actually it boosts humidity, but not long enough to help at all. Spraying water on leaves can cause marks or being pests.

@@gabeng7642 well when I watch carnivorous plant videos on one's that need a lot of humidity and when they talk about humidity they always mention to hand mist.

If the leaves of your plant are white it means it’s lacking chlorophyll. It may look pretty but it’s not always a good thing.

It's fine until there's too much white (like multiple completely white leaves). I believe even that leaf should be fine because of how much green is on the rest of the plant.

I'm assuming you have the plant by now but they're really simple. Mine gets bright indirect light, occasional fertilizer, and tap water. It's thriving. I will say that you don't always have to wait for the leaves to start curling before you water. I watered mine a couple times and checked with sticks to see when it needed water. After that I just got used to the feel of a wet, heavy pot vs. a somewhat heavy, still a bit damp pot vs. a dry pot ready for water.
