@@SpikeViper The "one way" valves irl are used to prevent the gasses from going backwards but only in serious cases when you fudge up big times. The reason why normal plasma torches work is that the gasses exit the nozzle under pressure which your torches in here don't have. No nozzle, no pressure. I dont know the limitations of the Powder Toy, but if you would achieve big enough pressure and make something that resembles a nozzle, I'm sure you'd make a proper, functioning plasma torch, without the need for 'one way' valve.

If you're going to test melting times you need to put the wall the same distance from the ignition point each time or you'll screw up your results.

I don't know if the comparison worked very well, as the hydrogen torch was pushed aside by all the nobel gas (as shown in the thumbnail).

if you make the gas colder it goes more efficient than hotter gas. it's a real process called "chilling" it's used in rocket so they are more efficient
