I watched this whole process being done on my old pool. I did the waterline tile MYSELF and had a custom color (blue and black) for the pebble tec. I am almost ready to do this again in my current house and can't wait to see this done again. I was amazed.
I initially was wondering how that blue slate tile would work, but that blue in the pebble finish really pulls the blue out in the slate nicely. Cool time lapse, thanks.
How interesting! Very labor-intensive. Great job/finish! I think if it was my pool, I would have wanted it blue-er. :) Like, tropical blue!!! But still, its lovely.
I miss doing marbelite and pebble tec/ river rock pools. Started as a mixer and ended as a sprayer and floor finisher. Fiberglass and vinyl just aren't the same. Beautiful referb boys.
We redid our 2nd pool with it and loved it. Only regret… it wasn’t dark enough. Folks if your wanting the lagoon/pond/lake look get on them because they always tell you oh “it will be dark enough” NO IT WON’T specially when it WILL hold heat which is what YOU WANT!!! Our first pool was painted and freshly when we owned that one! HORRIBLE!!!! Peeled within a YEAL and CUT/PEELED OUR FEET. Had the tile redone BTW with TEC and color changing with light effect (EPIC & WELL WORTH IT). PLUS change the pool to salt at this time… TOTALLY WORTH IT! And trust me NO big deal… SO MUCH EASIER TO DEAL WITH!!! And if your looking at solar covers not worth the money… when we had our first… we went through 6 before we stop buying them. If anything invest into an automated cover if you won’t want anything in pool, enclose it or cage it like a Floridian pool. but your always going to get something in it.
I wouldnt even think you can bring that pool back to life. How did they let it get like that when the pool takes up pretty much the entire backyard??? Great job. I thought it was going to stay that blue color.. That would have really made the water bright
Looks great, me personally since the tile had to be removed, I wouldn't have new tile installed. I would have had them Pebble Tec up to the coping. But that seemed to be the homeowners choice.
Heh boss.. a few questions. Can existing pebbletec be bonded with old pebbletec? Im repairing a small step where the concrete and pebble have basically desentigrated. Im thinking that once i do the concrete repair, if I do the bond coat and then put the pebble over it, it should stick. Looking for a little advice if you dont mind..
my pool is a pebble tech pool. Only thing im noticing after operating it for 4 years is that when the pressure cleaner is running some of the grains of the coating is coming off. The bag to my cleaner has a spoonful of it over the course of a month or so between me cleaning it.
Thanks. The Pebbletec application itself took one day for this pool, but the overall process including demolition, new tile, application of Pebbletec, and final cleaning took four days.
Yo creí que eran morenos de eeuu. Pensé mal, me remonté a la esclavitud. Haciendo trabajo para disfrute de los white. Creo que los latinos los están reemplazando.
We're also getting Blue Wave on our resurfacing. Your pool looks great! Awesome job by them. Questions: How much time passed between finish of "Pebble tec application" step and start of "acid wash and final cleaning"? ie how long did they let the plaster harden? After the last step, did they immediately fill the pool with water?
The acid and final cleaning took place the next day after the pebble tech application. And it was immediately filled with water after the acid wash and final cleaning, and then ready for use.
@@Number1Digital Cool deal, thanks for the info. It'll help me make sure the guys are following protocol. My pool builder has screwed up a couple of times on the tile/coping portion of the reno so my confidence in them is not high right now. I'm guessing you followed Pebble tech's startup guide for the first month. Gonna be "fun" brushing the pool twice a day...Hope your surface is holding up well!
I’m recently dug up our pool that was filled in years ago. I have removed the tiles and trying to sandblast the old pool paint which I think is epoxy. Thinking about removing the plaster/ Gunnite? How long did that step take? In your video it looked like just some bad spots were removed?? Can you spray gunnite on top of old pool paint?
Would like to see video or pictures of that process. Usually when they fill in a pool don't they bust out the bottom of it to allow drainage? Must be a huge project.
Nice video, thank you! - question, for pools with in-floor pop-up heads, what is your process on that? Do you vacuum clean them in the end to get all the debris and cement out of them in case they are clogged?
Which color is it ? We are looking for tropical breeze pebble Tec ? We live in desert any advise Another thing we really wanted to add shimmers but our contracter is charging 1000 bag he said we need two I feel like he is asking way too much ?
