Plasti Dipped My whole Car! DIY 

Pretty good job being done with the cans. However to avoid the plastidip from peeling with the tape, take the tape off when the dip is still super wet. Those areas are considered peel when wet areas. Other than that it turned out super good

Also the areas where u have the rubber trim u dont want to tape all the rubber trim up.. leave some and let the plasti dip be able to bond fully into the gap between the body and rubber.. that way when u do peel it the bond should break within the gap and not peel from the area where the OEM paint is.. a few other small mistakes were when u did the roof.. tough to do with a can.. but try and keep the can pointing straight down not angled to prevent over spray and spray as much of the roof as u can from 1 side then walk around and continue from the same line where u left off.. this will help minimize the stripping. but for doing it with just cans looks great...

Actually, you shouldn't do "light" coats. that's how you get the "orange peel" texture issue. You should spray it slower and do a wet coat, but not enough to avoid running. Then once it dries it will be smooth and ready for a second and third coat. Also, be mindful of your taping, and pulling the tape once its dry, you can easily get that edge issue around the windows, you can run an exacto very lightly around the edge of the trim before peeling the tape to give you a clean edge. Good job on a first time around though! p.s. you need 3-4 coats before you can easily peel it off in one grip otherwise you'll be there ALL day picking and peeling little bits at a time.

I want to know why he spent all that time to tape off but dident cover everything all the way. I use plastic dip alot it will juat peel right off where the seam line is

Why would you use a primer color for your color? You should have used Matte Black.

Much props for you attempting and then the job you did. Probably using the handle and nozzle from dyc may have helped, however good job with the cans.

as soon as i saw him masking. i was like his going to be disappointing knowing he mess up that part. you dont need to put tape so close or remove tape when is still wet. when doing a big project at least do better research ...

You have a booth and professional equipment available to you... Why did you decide to use the aerosols? That's never gonna peel properly.

Hey the car came out pretty cool. You said you used 11 cans but is that enough paint or did you use enough plasti dip in order to be able to peel it off in the future. I heard you have to apply a certain amount in order to be able to peel it off correctly if not you will hella struggle to take off.

I think your ok but hate the car, u can't paint a terd and make it look nice, but maybe if u painted the terd yellow, it would look like a cob of corn, and so I think I different colour choice, something zesty and vibrant

good job but i dont like plasti dip for the fact that if you dont use their glossifier and leave it matte then all the dirt and places where you touch stay there
