Really? This filthy culture is responsible for dumping massive amounts of plastic into the environment which flows out to sea. This is a minor tip of the iceberg.
Nice work❤❤❤❤ Humans impact the physical environment in many ways: overpopulation, pollution, burning fossil fuels, and deforestation. Changes like these have triggered climate change, soil erosion, poor air quality, and undrinkable water.
Sometimes I wish I was there to help them with the trash , recycling of the rubbish thank you guys for all you do,amen sorry if that sounds sarcastic.❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏they all deserve one of these🏝️🏖️🏝️🏖️🏝️🏖️👍👍👍🍾🍾🍾🏆🏆🏆god bless'em,.
I hope those Stop Oil protestors are watching this. This is how to make a huge positive change in the world. Much respect to these cleaning up warriors who doesn't wait for others to do something. Thank you for making a big contribution.
That might be known colloquially as the trash island of that area but is not what the rest of the world refers to as trash island. Trash island is much bigger and in the middle of the ocean.
There are actually 5 oceanic ones, the big one that everyone hears about is the "Great Pacific Garbage Patch", but there's another smaller one further south in the Pacific, as well as two more in the Atlantic, and one in the Indian ocean. There are a lot of people out there trying to do something about the issue, but it's a never ending uphill battle.
@@YoungBuck7912 Our main issue is cutting it off at the source, too many cultures of throwing stuff in the river. Once the sources are cut off then you can focus on taking the big parts down, the big piles do a job of collecting everything at least through their surface tension.
@@TAGfrostTheir councils don't care..We tried working with them in Bali.. And they make money from the fines and the public make money reporting them. Their not interested
Thank you to all of the men and women who do this. Whether it’s paid or voluntary, it needs to be done. I just wish people cared enough to keep it from happening. I understand that sometimes trash gets away from us but if people cared enough. Maybe they could pick up the trash they see. When I used to take my dog for a walk, I would always bring a bag with me and gloves and pick up all the trash along the way. If everybody would just do that, we wouldn’t have this major problem we do. I hear people constantly saying one person can’t make a change. Or why bother recycling. So many people have such a negative attitude. Or they don’t care about this world because they’re not gonna be in it forever. But what about your children, grandchildren and even great grandchildren? Do you not care about the world they’re going to live in? We have got to start taking care of this earth.
I’ve supported this amazing program for so long and I must say the intuitiveness they apply is outstanding for the ever changing climate of our planet. I’m currently studying geochemistry and geology to better understand the effects of PFAS, (polyethylfluorine) “forever chemicals”. I am actively researching and am able to pursue this as a full time work opportunity. Please inquire with me if you see this! My eagerness is through the roof!
I remember in the 70's all the commercials about all the pollution that was going on. Nixon even created the EPA to fight pollution. Seems to have worked, eh?🤔
Ah yes the EPA that organization that has consistently gotten adequate funding and support and is not involved in partisan nonsense every 4 years or so.
The only solution to plastic manufacture pollution eroding the atmosphere and fertility globally is not to manufacture use or burning disposal of any halogenated vinyl or halogenated carbon. As we agreed to in Treaties instituted by scientists and ratified by Congress which is the normal legal mission of the EPA under Treaty obligations and enforcement.
May My Heavenly Father Bless you abundantly always for your hard work and care of My Heavenly Father oceans. May you receive the finances to help you and keep your efforts going.
Everything we collect is brought back to our facility where it is carefully sorted and weighed. What we can recycle gets recycled either by us for use in current and future products, or with local recycling partners in each community. At our South Florida location, everything we can't recycle is taken to Solid Waste Authority (the most efficient, lowest emission facility in the country) where it is turned into energy. At our Bali and Guatemala locations, we are storing what can't be recycled while evaluating our co-processing options in those locations.
Totally fun! We encourage everyone who wants to get involved to get with their family and friends and host your own community cleanup whenever you can. Every little bit helps!
We're beyond grateful for your passion and dedication to a cleaner ocean. At this time all of our cleanup operations are conducted by paid, local employees. We’re hoping to bring back volunteer opportunities soon, but in the meantime you can help by organizing your own cleanups, saying NO to single-use plastics, or even pulling some pounds by purchasing on 4ocean.com! 🙂
i’m thinking of doing this for real. Like go buy a boat and cleanup equipment and get out in the ocean. kinda hard though because i live like 100 miles from the closest ocean.
Let me help recently. I saw a video it was the country Australia a floating device that collects garbage from water the same job your doing there! It might save you a little time free it up! Good luck
When I was in Cancun the plastic bottles were everywhere they don't have trash cans in Town so it's j just everywhere they need to help themselves the country makes lots of money on tourism but it's not the tourists living it on ground education and recycling is answer I don't know if I'm going back.
@@fatmilf1498 my town had three glass bottle making factory’s that employed about 3000 people. We had a glass recycling program were the factories would pay about a penny a pound and the recycling centers were always busy. The plastic manufacturers influenced state, county and local officials about how environmentally friendly plastic was not like the evils of glass bottles. People protested at the state capital , the county courthouse and local commission meetings . Thousands of people wrote letters of protest and disagreeing with government officials. Some people were arrested and charged with civil disobedience. I was a participant in some of the protests and eventually lost my job at the glass factory because they were shut down by the State. The unemployment office was overwhelmed. This was in the late 70’s early 80’s. The town has yet to recover. I have been in the ring, the mud , blood and beer trying to stop the manufacturing of plastics to no avail. My comment, from my high horse, was only mentioning that maybe collection centers placed strategically throughout towns and cities so trash trucks could collect this waste before entering the water. What this group is doing is a wonderful thing but fruitless as the trash does not let up. They are proverbially swatting a windmills and it never ends. Something different has to be done to stop the flow of this waste from entering the water in the first place. Stopping it at the source. So when are you coming down off of your high horse and jumping in the mud, the blood and beer and trying to make a difference??? I served my time , your turn!!!
