I'm guessing he just drew it that way for the illustration to fit on the board more easily. I'm pretty sure they pull the water from the low side of radiator to water inlet port on engine.
Help! Oh dear God help! I just finished up doing a basic engine rebuilt and i used many of your vids. Got every thing back in car and started filling radiator and noticed at least 5 new mazda freeze plugs are leaking. I used a little permatex #1 (form a gasket sealant) on them and drove them in straight. Is this normal? Might they seal up? I haven’t even started the engine yet. I hope i dont have to pull the engine and redo them!
