Test of the smallest Plastimo pontoon and Suzuki outboard.
Preparing a pontoon on land is easy - it's different at sea. There's not much space on board and mounting the engine on the pontoon transom is a big problem for one person even when the weather conditions are good...
I do it this way: I take the outboard engine out of the locker, fill it with fuel and mount it on the pushpit holder. I prepare the pontoon, moor it to the stern section, get in it and then remove the engine from the holder and mount it on the pontoon transom.
It's really not that easy, because at sea there's usually a wave that makes mounting difficult.
I'd like to hear about the experiences of other sailors - especially those who sail alone on the small boat...

Seems easy enough for one man to prepare the dinghy and install the engine.
