Plastique (followed by Gottmik) is out here showing impeccable, flawless, conceptual, magnificent drag. I would hate to be before or after her in the lineup. She is on another level.
Drag an aesthetic, yeah. But there’s more to drag that neither one really excel at, such as performing. I like her, but you guys are taking one aspect of the show and running with it even though it has no bearing on whether or not they’ll win a non design challenge.
@@TrixieMatteI I feel the same, they have a good eye for fashion. It honestly takes some talent to understand what looks good, even if u are commissioning it. But as far as being in a competition, u should be well versed in all categories and not just one. This is why I feel like violet wouldn’t really excel in other seasons of drag race let alone win if she was on it with other fashion queens like Detox, Nina bonina, Nina flowers, Sharon (don’t like her) etc.
I think part of the reason tiara didn't make the top 3 is because it would break drag race. The bar would be set too high, and queens would be afraid to return.
@peridarby3968 I think they might be talking about Violet discussing Plastique on other pods/interview style shows because I know Violet showed up on Pit Stop to dish with Trixie about Season 9 of Drag Race: All-Stars, and both were just gagged over how sickening Plastique's looks are.
@@peridarby3968 Yep we know that, but on a review video with Trixxy Matel, Violet did praise her and even said she (Violet) needed to get her shit together or quit when commenting on Plastique´s fashion level.
I mean isn't this how you win drag race? By being the best of the best? They are treating her like the average queen should keep up to her, but she's going places nobody else should aim for, like nobody will expect Eureka or Kennedy to look like this even if it's your 5th time around. She's that good, and they could never.
This is what Drag Race needed tbh. Queens like Marina, Plastique, and Gottmik putting out excellent runways, design challenges, performances, etc. to remind former contestants that they can evolve and show out

I mean, the bar isn’t very high lol. For looks? Oh yeah, stellar, idk who has the budget tiktok has given her to even compete on that level… for looks. She’s not really killing every challenge. Her run hasn’t been as immaculate as her runways.
I think Bob and Monet have really rubbed off on her. She's looking at herself as a brand more than before and I think that helps her present a more confident, secure version of herself.
She does but like the ponytails and the loose curly units, most of her hair she’s worn on AS is made by Jean Baptist who is a famous wig stylist from Paris
@@midnashadow8439 thank you! I didn’t know that about the wigs this season. That’s one of the things I love about Plastique.. she can sew, make wigs, dance, edits her videos, a queen of all trades.
To be fair only plastique is at this standard aesthetically.. she won’t be on another all stars for a while. Go back Naomi! You’re still a doll and I’d lovvvvvveeee you on my tv again!
And even with huge stipends money can’t buy TASTE and VISION and all the hair makeup and styling skills they use when they get there. I mean look at Nymphia, she made like 90% of her package herself, same with Q!
Nymphia and Plastique are just on a whole different level of doll. Ain't nobody touching them when it comes to looking flawless. They're the reason I want an All Stars season that focuses 100% on fashion and runway looks. I just want to stare at these queens all day.
Nina could spend 1 million dollars on her drag and we would just get 1,000 dress reveals for a look with no elevation in her fashion. Some girls just think because something is expensive, it will also look expensive. I think Plastique just makes things look expensive, and I highly doubt she would have spent an outrages amount more over her stipend.
You have to admire Plastique's commitment to delivering some spectacular looks this season. And you know they didn't come cheap. -- She's not my favorite because I find her a bit boring but damn she can slay a runway.
@@donttalk372thank you!!!! There is nothing boring about her. When it’s time for her to do her thing for the judges she shows up. The in between is not going to win her badges or the crown it’s what she puts on stage that will.
I mean I understand that times go forward and change is bound to happen, but I kinda miss moneyless girls who had to really build their look each time, and who had to wing every category they weren't good at instead of getting training. But maybe it's worse cuz that had to be horrible to go through for the girls, it's just that now it feels like drag race is only for the rich and elite girls. Then again, drag race as a show promoted drag so much that it makes a ton of sense that the stakes keep getting higher, and i imagine girls in general find more success on their own because people are attuned to the idea of drag queens. Idk i hate elitism but i really can't be mad

Now name as many designers that are as successful as designing clothes, hair, doing flawless makeup, editing their own videos, and is also a talented performer.... I'll wait. You cannot buy talent. Some people pay millions of dollars for voice lessons and still have to be auto tuned. Then you have people who have never stepped foot in a studio or program, who just naturally belt out entire Operas, with zero training. Plastique Tiara's talent, be talenting.....

Plastique should have been on Global with Allysa Edward's. But Edward's is definitely going to win I think Edward's is ready and it's her time. Justin got fit, his skin is on point, glam is through the roof. He is laser focused. Might I add every time one of the other queens try to come at him.....he has a soul snatching read .....she cracks me up. I love the fact that he has a dance studio where his girls love him and he loves them......❤❤❤❤
Yeah... but for that you have to have f*****ing money! Flying from NY to Paris to Vietnam multiple times and buying the best of the best is great but it is not for everyone! Quite unfair actually!. They should do Drag Race on a budget and see who is more resourceful! It used to be like that in a way!
The only way to reset drag race would be to have a few seasons similar to season 3, where the majority of the challenges are design. That way queens cant complain about money

Plastique’s package being made in Vietnam is amazing exactly because she probably got a GREAT price because the cost of labour is lower and she gets to support local designers. The French wigs are probably where Plastique splurged. I would not be surprised if Gottmik’s package was more expensive, excluding wigs.
