I just purchased the platform pro and can't wait to get started and thanks for a good explanation of the platform. It did not come with instructions but I had a general idea how it worked, but your explanation was way better. Peace
These ladders have totally changed the game for me as a home improvement contractor. All my buddies talked bad about them so I always stack to the traditional stack of ladders on my van. Now I carry one ladder for everything. Can’t wait to get these accessories.
You can use it while the ladder is in extension as well. Same directions as in A-frame where you walk past it, scoot it out with your foot, and then can stand on it. Or alternatively, like at 1:55, you can invert it and use it like it shows there.
yes! The platform pro works with the Leveler 1.0. Other accessories it can use: Tool Tray (or the Tool Tray XL), Trestle Brackets+Plank, Work Platform, Project Tray, Cargo Hold, Fuel Tank, and the Ladder Rack.
Honestly this just looks dangerous. There is nothing attaching this to the actual ladder and you want me to stand on it at height??? No chance. It could work for tools until you accidentally slide the platform and they all fall to the ground. Give me something to attach to the ladder and now we're talking.
We've been building work platforms for decades. The engineers are really great! The way it is designed, it's not physically possible to slide the platform pro back in unless you're not standing on it. Weight will lock it onto the rung. (Of course, as you're saying, if someone has some light tools it would be inadvisable to force the platform in and cause your tools to clatter down and break.) And this platform has the same duty rating as the ladder you are using it on. (If you're on a IA 300 lbs ladder, this is rated the same. If it's on a IAA 350 lbs ladder, this will have that rating).
