Any of the Uncharted games; between the "get x amount of kills with every weapon" and "beat the game on brutal" (specifically the latter!), yeah, nah. The one for Kena was insanity and I did the PS5 and PS4, back-to-back, and was nearly bedridden from the stress 🤣😖
For me, after hunting for so many platinums, I've come to realize that I dont think I will ever want to do a rockstar games platinum. Like yeah, they're rare plats to have but I've realized that rockstar games plat lists simply just don't respect your time. There's an absurd amount of things to do, often feeling like they're taunting you and for that I refuse to chase a RS plat.
I would love to platinum them but the online stuff is... Meh. Probably not gona do it. Escpesialy the one trophy in gta 5 online were the game modes are dead. So yeah.
I was one of the people who hated platinums that require multiple playthroughs too but the moment I realized that I don't have to play back to back I stated having no problem with them, I can go for a single playthrough & put the game away for as long as it takes me to miss it, i pick it up & play again until I get the Plat. FROMSOFTWARE games taught me this .
Yeah that's something I think is a big difference between trophy hunting and content creation. Because I agree, if this wasn't my job I would just split up the playthroughs more but when it pays the bills I just have to power through!
Same here. Unless the game is short enough that I have no problems doing back to back playthroughs. But for the most part, I usually go through a game again a few years later
I mean, that's fine if the multiple playthroughs are like 1 or 2 to get collectibles / new game plus. However, in the case of Devil May with the 7 playthroughs; it was just a stupid decisions to need multiple playthroughs for difficulties, when you could've just made the trophies unlock for lower difficulties if you beat it on a higher difficulty. Just bad game design or whatever, at that point. It's fine to have a work around for a bad design choice, but that doesn't mean the bad design choice should have been there in the first place.
To me i dont think you can just say its because you are a content creator. You choose to highly edit your content and thats great but thats not the only way to create content. Some people bearly edit at all and for them multiple playthroughs works. To me when you make things an excuse instead of a choice all you are doing is limiting your options, thats coming from some one thats never completed anything because of my excuses, so im trying to get my first ever platinum now
As someone who Platinumed Dynasty Warriors 9 I would tell anyone who asked; "Don't. No. You don't deserve that." It ruined my enjoyment of the Dynasty Warriors games.
DMC 5 is one I really battle with, I like the idea of getting the platinum because I love the game but I just can't do that many playthrough's. Congrats though!
I also have the DMC5 platinum and I was postponing the game for few years. I have an internal rule, where when I start a new game I don't stop until I get the 100% (platinum) and I was scared that the DMC5 will be above my skill. But one day I started anyway and it didn't take even long before it popped. Many ppl say its 10/10 platinum for sure, but in my opinion it wasn't that bad truly. There are a lot of tricks (youtube is full of them) for every mission which makes it all more possible. It takes some dedication, but definitely possible even within reasonable hours (that is coming from a player which never had any prior experience with DMC series). So guys don't be discourage! Personally, for example Trackmania Turbo's platinum has been tougher experience than DMC5 :D.
Ye I’m getting back to that once I’ve finished Shadow of War. The grind for survivor and schematic xp is unreal. But once you’ve got that the quests are easy! It’s the time that goes into STW but that plat rarity sure looks tasty!
I can’t get all the achievements on games with multiplayer achievements such as Assassin’s Creed Unity, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, and Batman Arkham Origins.
For me it’s cause I don’t play multiplayer in games but even if I did Black Flag I heard is brutal for those trophies/achievements. Unity and Arkham Origins I wish I could get though since I only have two multiplayer achievements in Unity left and I had even gotten the achievement for opening all the chests in Paris. And I already got all the achievements in the other 3 Arkham games and did all the challenge maps in Origins.
For me as an Xbox person you couldn't pay me enough money to complete either Halo the MasterChief collection or Rare Replay. I'm not afraid of large grinds, hell I've put over 800+ hours in the binding of Isaac so far but the big difference is the fun factor. Being an achievement/ trophy hunter you gotta pick your battles and those 2 games I'm perfectly fine with leaving incomplete
See the MCC maybe delusionally, I feel I could one day attempt but I do agree it is a crazy grind and I could see it being tough to talk myself into it!
I'm working my way through rare replay right now, and let me tell you, it's not worth it. Most of the games in it aren't very good and are super dated, but man do I love the satisfaction of slowly going through and knocking out every completion. I'm down to one super retro game, 3/5 N64 games, and 7/9 360 games to do
@@MayorHairBearI’m not sure if it was my game or not but a lot of the story trophies just didn’t pop for me in Security Breach so if you were ever to try it just be warned about it, I played through the game twice for the story trophies to not pop so I gave up on the platinum even though I heavily enjoyed the game.
@Tera677 hate to say it, but even almost 3 years after the game has released, it's still a buggy mess, sure it adds to the charm, but it gives trophy hunters a headache
Great list! Mine are pretty much the same, only added one for me (which I'm sad about as I really want it and am going to make a decent attempt) is FF7 Rebirth... it seems like such a tough ask!
I don't think I will ever complete Gears of War 1 and 3 just because of Seriously achievements. You would have to pay me a lot of money to go through that torture. Getting all the gold crowns in Monster Hunter World has been painful enough as it is
Yeah the seriously series of achievements are miserable! I remember getting I think Gears 2 and 3 done back in the day but not game enough to try again!
Warframe and Splitgate are games that I genuinely enjoy but the amount of BORING grind (especially the 1047 WINS I need for Splitgate) are insufferable for me, and it’s even worse by the fact both games don’t have a platinum
As someone who actually took 4 years off my life to platinum Fortnite: Save the World, this is by far one of the most grindiest platinum trophy. Its not hard, it's SUPER TEDIOUS. What makes it even special is that if you even get the Fortnite platinum, you got one of the rarest platinums on PlayStation.
To me, all of the Monster Hunter games come to mind. They are great games, but are miserable to try to platinum and get 100% completion on I am dreading Monster Hunter Wilds when it comes out, because I know it's going to be more the same. In addition to Monster Hunter Stories remasters that recently released. They are not quite as bad as the mainline titles, but still terrible platinum trophy experiences.
The challenges are especially annoying in Arkham City with having to play all maps with 4 characters. Nto mention visiting Calendar Man on holidays which can be done with changing the date on the console you use but still. And even if you did want to platinum all the Arkham games you can’t do it on Arkham Origins thanks to the multiplayer trophies.
These were mentioned by the RU-vidr The Completionist: Limbo game trophy/achievement No Point in Dying (Completing the game with 5 or less deaths) Rock Band 2 achievement The Bladder of Steel Award (Beating the setlist without pausing the game or failing) I can’t imagine the agony players went through to get these especially Rock Band 2.
I did the Rock Band 2 one, after a failed attempt on expert bass I did it on medium bass. Luckily I was in high school and had way too much free time, but it was a very planned day. Munched in cereal and sipped water to sustain myself without needing the bathroom.

I stopped yakuza 7 when I realised I had around 10-20 hours of grinding left for that final trophy. Life's too short. Saying that, I might get the itch in a few months to see it through. Interesting you mentioned the newer assassin's. Origins plat was a good one, one of my faves of the series but the other two were real grind fests. Especially vallaha. Mirage is a nice plat , though.
Yeah Origins looks more so my speed and I know Mirage is a shorter plat even if I personally didn't love it. For me Odyssey and Valhalla would just break me I feel!
Yeah I think the difficulties force you to play very differently from playthrough to playthrough and learn more and more about the game but I dunno, I remember trying to achievement hunt for DMC 4 and I think it scared me off doing that sort of thing 😂
I’m probably a few days away from getting the platinum for Fortnite now and can positively say that it’s honestly not worth it. I’ve dropped it and picked it back up over the course of a year + and it’s genuinely a miserable experience just replaying the same thing over and over again. Would not recommend at all but I’ve gone too far to not finish it.
For me it is probably gamed like GTA V and Red Dead 1 and 2, the amount of online trophies in singleplayer games is just so off putting. Online trophies in singleplayer games that can't easily be boosted is also a massive turnoff in general

I personally don't ever see myself going for any Rockstar Platinums. I've never been a huge fan of GTA or RDR, so the thought of playing either for 100's of hours just grinding collectibles just doesn't sound fun at all.
Love these type of list videos, fully agreed with all of the games aswell, I tried a demo of crypt of the necrodancer and I barely managed to kill 1 enemy so yeah, won’t be playing that, I’d just include realistic racing games like gran turismo because I really suck at them. Btw what’s that game that appeared after crypt ? Looked fun

@@MayorHairBear I have the remastered platinum, the only one I don't have is the original PS3 one because the servers went before I got a plus subscription. I recommend Beyond a Steel Sky and Death's Door if you haven't already played them or got the Platinum.
For me it comes down to enjoyment factor. I get trophies for games I like playing. I won’t do something like Fortnite or apex because I don’t like battle royales. I won’t platinum something like street fighter 6 because I’m not a huge fighting game fan. I won’t mess with sports games or that new princ of Persia game either. I will say I have the 100% for assassins creed odyssey and it’s a very enjoyable experience. I really enjoyed just exploring the world and experiencing the story and side content. You do to have to do every side quest or every location to complete the game. If you’re beelining straight to the plat, there may be some boring bits, but I was just immersed in the game and the world and I had a blast.
Multiple playthroughs is hot and miss for me. If it's short like re2 then maybe. But when a RPG requires multiple playthroughs I nope out of trying for trophies.
I wonder if you have like "Games you kind of regret to 100%", but not in a way, I regret doing it, wouldn't do it ever again, but like "I'm happy to have it but it definitely wasn't worth it the time" In my case it definitely was payday 2 on PC, 1000+ hours of pain and achievements added with each dlc's, just to have the "I got the nefarious game 100%Ed" :')
I got all of Odyssey's achievements (it's actually the first i started my hunt on 😅). It took me 122 hours, and it didn't bother me as much because I love the Ancient Greek setting.
Odyssey is one of if not my favorite game I’ve played, I got the platinum and I loved every second of it, most worth whole experience of my life. Also I do not care one bit that it’s not a “real AC game” because honestly, just because it’s AC doesn’t mean it HAS to be AC.
same with me i enjoyed running all over the maps and it didn't feel like a slog to do compared to some games like valhalla (too many things to find on the map)
I understand that everyone has their own opinions but I actually really liked saints row. I never really played the OG games but I just like how easy it is to play but I will say I have locked myself out of the platinum unless I start fro scratch or pay for the ps subscription which I don't own because I much rather a good single player story.
Gotta agree that the sports games are a no go. I would also say Baulders Gate 3. The game is fun, but I would never in a million years try to plan out that platinum journey 😂
I'd probably give those types of games a go if they had like a doable difficult achievement still on the cards but trophy wise, I'm not that interested in because I love me my platinum's too much
I did get the platinum for DMC Devil May Cry reboot which I remember being very frustrating going for but I felt very satisfied once I completed it. I’ve also got the platinum for AC Odyssey, a game in my opinion that gets too much hate. Sure it’s barely an assassin’s creed game but I enjoyed the 500hrs I put into it. However I did take breaks from it cause it is a huge game which I know can be intimidating for some players.

Hmm. I guess any of the Atelier games (RPG series) -- they require multiple playthroughs for different character endings which isn't a bad thing, but when the game itself takes 20hrs? I dunno. Definitely not one to consistently do. Legend of Heroes is another RPG series that does that. I could over time get them, of course. Just go back to them over time. That said I must say your honorable mentions I have the platinum in both the Saints Row reboot and AC Odyssey. 😅 And having both of those I can say I do not blame you at all for not going for them.
For me, a lot of games I'll never bother fully completing for their trophies. They're across multiple genres but can be lumped together as "never going to 100% because of online requirements." Defeating people in competitive modes is something I'm lousy at, especially fighting games, so those are always left undone for me. It doesn't help when the servers are shut down either, because then the people who actually do want to play against others online are wholly screwed even if they aren't chasing a specific challenge completion.
Star Wars The Force Unleashed. There are 6 achievements that each require defeating 500 enemies with a certain ability. Doing that on 100 enemies was fine but that is way too tedious even for me. Plus I don’t think I could do beating the game on Sith Master difficulty.
I have never played the game and gave it a chance a couple of months ago, got the Platinum in just 2 weeks. For the grinding, you want to start a new game and do all 500 kills for each on the 1st level with Vader against the wookies on the bridge, be aware that those kills do not accumulate from one playthrough to another
For the Sith Master difficulty there are 2 glitches on RU-vid (unfortunately no video compounds both of them but I did), just search infinite orbs and then how to go to the final level directly. You then just need to play the final level with all upgrades but be aware that even then is extremely difficult (within the first 5 seconds of spawning at the beginning of the level you might be dead). For the final battle choose Vader, way easier than the Emperor. Took me about 90-100 minutes to get the Sith difficulty with this method but you need patience as you die a lot

I got the plat for dmc 1 a while ago. Definitely my proudest platinum, it was a huge feat to overcome but it was so much dedication, I can’t even imagine getting the play for 4 and 5. I would for sure recommend 1 and 3 though, if you ever decide to do them let me know if you need strategies!

The LASO achievements in Halo Master Chief Collection put a halt on my grind. Just a ridiculously difficult challenge. Other than that, the main games I'll avoid going for the 100% are the Multiplayer achievement games. Dead multiplayers are tough to find people on, even just to boost. More times than not I've had to buy my friends a copy of a game, just to clean up some back log.
I would love to platinum some of the old Guitar Hero or Rock Band games, but they are bizarrely difficult. I did get Guitar Hero Live and Rock Band 4's back in the day.
My only conditions to not complete a game are if the trophy’s are related to de multiplayer, they depend more on luck than skill and it just kills the fun
There's an awesome character action/hack-and-slash type game i'd love to see you play someday that goes by name of Soulstice, but I fear that it really wouldn't be fun to do for a Platinum. It's from 2022, has some shortcomings but nevertheless a lot to offer in both gameplay and story. I'd say the style is like Italian comics/cartoons (such as Huntik) but with atmosphere and writing more along the lines of the Darksiders game. However, some other games with *much* more managable platinums that I could recommend, are Clash: Artifacts of Chaos and Cookie Cutter. Can fondly recommend those.
I’m so close to doing it, all I really have to do is beat all in Death Wish, me and my friend have been grinding it out but the motivation is losing me, stealth is just getting so boring but we can’t beat it in loud.
I have Valhalla and Odyssey platinum, and man talk about a boring grind. Valhalla in particular, that one sucked, im talking all i did after school for like a week was run around and grab collectables. Odyssey is definitely a better quality game, but still 100%ing any game like that comes with a little bordom. I have Origins aswell though so maybe i just hate myself lol.
I agree with all of your picks and I might add Red Dead Redemption II, Ninja Gaiden 1-3, any Call Of Duty (unless world at war and MW2) and any GTA. Usually grind, RNG and online trophies shy the platinum away from me
I can recommend doing Origins as a Platinum, genuinely fun to do. A platinum I cannot recommend is Gran Turismo 7, if you've never played racing games.

I was 2 trophy’s away from Fortnite platinum , save 10,000 survivors , and complete 10,000 play with others , I was around 40-50% through each , then one day , I was playing gta with mods , and closed the game and launched Fortnite with the gta mods still loaded and got perm banned on Fortnite 🤣
For me, it's Potion Craft. I will never go for those last 5 achievements. It's tedious, time consuming and straight up boring. Be my guest, try to 100% it. I dare everyone not to fall asleep or want to cancel & quit after 50 hours of broken customer requests to painfully max. raise the popularity of ones shop... the worst about it. It feels as if it's easily achieveable... but it isn't... It still messes with my mind. Most traumatic thing and psychological fuckery I've ever experienced in my life. Also some Assassin's Creed games of the past are not worth 100% because either you have to do multiplayer (if you're not a fan of it, it sucks. also I heard that some parts of those multiplayer servers already got shut down forever so... yeah...), fulfilling crazy tasks which is way more boring than whatever action attempt the player could do when not wanting to 100% synch within the AC universe. For example I dared to 100% AC 3, if you do one misstep and think you can just reload... nope. All NPC's are out of synch with their walking patterns making it impossible to 100% the given mission so you had to constantly start from the beginning. It was one of the most infuriating and boring grinds I have ever done. I can only recommend it for people who want to get punished without real reason IRL.
I would defenitely Not plat Games Like COD or BF, i am Not good at online Games and especially in Shooter on consol😅 so i will Never ever plat These Types of Games😊 But Games Like AC i will plat all❤️😱 Always looking farward to your vids! Honestly as a hard-core OG five nights at freddys fan, I kinda agree with you 😂. The old games are really boring compared to the newer ones. I just started trophy hunting, the only ones I got so far have been easy. Spider man 2, Subnautica, and Fnaf SB. I'm hoping to go for a more challenging game next, either the sims 4 (Doesn't sound hard but trust me, it takes a while) or something else.
I will never do hogwarts legacy platinum ever again. That was absolutely boring after beating the story. And yes I hate games that require multiple play playthroughs. I’m currently trying to platinum final fantasy 7. I gotta beat the game on hard mode
For the Fnaf games, I completely agree. It’s boring. But you might wanna check out Fnaf security breach, it shouldn’t take too long to platinum and it’s a huge branch out from the original flip a switch close a door get jumpscared games.
i was gonna give new tales of borderlands a chance, but no. simply no. I've platinumed all borderlands games besides that (including wonderlands), and im happy with it.
I made the mistake of playing on my main profile against a buddy on 2k22. Got a single trophy…. So of course I then proceeded to spend the next 4-5 months straight getting the platinum for it. Regret
RNG trophy like Ghost wiretokyo is something i wil never want to go through again. Its nothing to so with skill, technique. All related to luck which is very annoying.
