Great episode. This makes up for last episode when we didn't see Trudy at all. We all need more Trudy Platt going forward. Tracy was tremendous in the episode from the scene underwater and the emotional ride she took us on throughout the episode. Plus have to credit her stunt double Kelli for her great work as well.
It was nice that they focused Hailey’s relationships with some of the other members of the team today, and not just her relationship with Halstead. Seeing the callback to her backstory from season 4 was awesome, and Trudy giving her advice was really sweet. Also, watching her friendship with Atwater today was like a breath of fresh air, and I’d love to see more of them in the future.
It was nice to see Trudy and the patrol room back in action again. The way she looked at Kev when he said something about Mouch was everything! Now all they need is the 2 patrolmen for her to terrorize. It’s great seeing PD back to her old self with police work, madness and mayhem instead of that busted romance, love boat soap opera crap.
I agree. In Chicago Fire there was a patrolman who was struggling who Ritter and Mouch asked Trudy to help. Trudy transferred him to the 21st to look after him. I was hoping we would see some of that.
Ahhh love to see Trudy again! She is an important parte of cpd and she cares so much for their children, love her. Also, love to see other relationships like upwater, we had seen upzek before and some scenes with Kim. This friendships are like gold and we never get tired of them. That final scene? All together? Love it.
Why do you think Hank stopped from almost killing the man who killed her dad back in Season 4? He knew she wouldn't live with herself if she did. Trudy Platt is the best of them.
What a fantastic episode. Loved to see Hailey interact with Trudy and Kev. Loved that final scene! Tracy Spiridakos, you're a star. Everything about you screams TALENT 🌟
I don't know why Platt's role has been reduced to what are essentially cameos. We also need more interactions between Platt and Upton, after all Upton has said a few times that Platt is the reason she became a cop.
Yeah so great episode and with the ladies, now theres long-term, a couple fewer men. Who guys were both great foils to Hank one close one good-cop to his bad..These water scenes terrified and with current cold. Great lakes largely under ice right now. Doesn't she know that freezing water makes your body shut down co ordination wise? Well scary good. Platt so wonderful..And so glad they went back and finished episode after news blurb ( central time). We would go nuts right??
If it was an officer so out of it like Upton y'all all know you wouldn't want that type around I use to like her until she is like the main One in charge she needs some therapy in the real world that's what real officer's are going through until they just break down and take some body to the grave.
Here's where Upton screwed up. The guy she pulled from the car was unconscious, once she saw the female wasn't, she lets the male go, gets the female safe, then you have assistance in getting all to safety. If the female says something to you, since she is conscious, when you surface then you don't go back. She failed that woman, and her family and is a disgrace to the uniform.
