The Elephant Ear Fern, what an amazing and dramatic fern! A must in everyone's garden.
In this episode, we provide easy propagation techniques. The Elephant Ear fern produce Pups, which are their babies and these Pups is what you use for propagation. In addition, from their leaves known as Fronds, they have spores that once germinated, will produce more ferns.
These ferns do well in shade and when the organic soil is moist.

Hi Alice! I love your videos especially the ones on platyceriums. I’m very interested in the propagation methods shown in this video and have been waiting for over a year to see how they turned out, especially the seed propagation method. Please do another video showing the results of this method.

I really like your content but could we get a garden tour? Of your garden and or you caring for garden weeding, fertilizer how you plan and design the beds. And cooking recipes love you!

Hi Brenda, in the next episode featuring tonight features part of my garden. It had been so dry in Kenya but as it rained the garden looks lush. I use manure for my flower beds and during the hot weather I mulch the garden. With regards to weeding it really is difficult to keep up especially during the rainy season.

I wonder if it is a must to remove the leaf. Feels like you could just scrap off the spores instead🥲
@redsoilgardener
@redsoilgardener 2 года назад
Yes I believe you can keep the leaf attached provided it hasn't dried up or damaged. Some people actually cover the leaf in a plastic bag and wait for the spores to drop in the bag, in this way you keep the leaf attached to the plant
