It’s an historic day! We’re proud to announce the arrival of two platypuses from Australia and the official opening of the Nelson M. Millsberg Platypus Habitat at our Walkabout Australia. The two platypuses, a male and a female, came here from the Taronga Zoo Sydney to serve as ambassadors for their species. We’re currently the only zoo outside of Australia to house platypuses-and this is the first time in more than 50 years that the species has been cared for outside of Australia. sdzsafaripark.org/
