@@johnpaultan306Two reasons.It's because we used British Convention for almost every thing. We had bedford buses with long nose bonet engines when they ruled india. Second reason is cost savings. The truck chassis and Engines can be used to build buses by bus body building Company.This practice is still done in the US. The Other Convention is we drive on the left like in England. We even adopted Parliamentary form of democracy from them.
