Wait. Advent children play arts Kai cloud’s hands are soft flexible rubber right? I love that style. The sword is one solid piece safer and more sturdy. No chance in losing the pommel. If they ever make new sword figures need to copy that.
Based on what I've seen, Play Arts Kai are by FAR superior to the original line - I've seen no issues with durability and those freakish joints (those *knees* XP) are all gone! Problem is, outside of the Square Enix official store they are PRICEY. Anyways, this was still a fun review more for the commentary than the content - good job! X3
cloud pak was one of their best release, the other just so so, especially the new version of yuna and tidus, and tidus face was a pure horror hha, but this cloud really great, vusial wise, the biggest mess a got was the obvious mold on his hair bangs, the rest was cleanly executed.
I have the original version of the AC Cloud that came with Fenrir. Well, no, I don't. I had to REBUY Cloud because the one that came with Fenrir fell off the shelf and broke his hip. Permanently. I also had a Sephiroth who couldn't double grip his sword because his right hand broke off at the ball joint. Luckily, in years since, they have gotten better. I have four currently on my shelf: Variant Batgirl, Variant Supergirl, Commander FemShep, and Lara Croft from Tomb Raider, all of which have great paint jobs, great accessories, and so forth. My only problem is that they are really hard to stand up, especially Batgirl and Supergirl. FemShep stands up fine and Lara can but is sometimes finicky. Every once and a while, I can get Batgirl and Supergirl to stand, but I prefer having them at the back of the shelf so they can have some support. I've never opened any of the stands because they look like way too much effort for my trouble. What's wrong with how Figma does their stands?
The only two Play Arts figures I ever saw were Spider-Man and Iron Man and they looked pretty damn amazing. And they were also pretty damn expensive. *sobs*
It depends on the individual figure, play arts Kai can really vary. But to be honest I've only seen very few of them and this was the only one I considered getting
I have all playarts kai advent children and I hate the fact that you have to use the base to keep them standing, else I use the backwall, or each other figures to keep them propped up. Lastly, I haven' t opened the bases...don't want to tear shit up lol
bunnyfreakz Im pretty sure its the same design? And i can assure you its Advent Children...I have the box infront of my now and it says FF Advent Children, Cloud Strife and Fenrir.
bunnyfreakz Possible, I do know the bigger ones were made more recently. But at least this old one has Fenrir. This new one doesn't, so idk why itd be better :/
Play arts indeed have some great figures but for the prices they should be a lot better made and detailed . I've got about 30 of them and slowed down on collecting them do to the over pricey figs with horrible QC these are worth no more then 80 bucks at best .
Yeah square upped there figure game but they are still not great I got 3 batman, yuffie, and DMC4 Nero but that one's leg snapped off. Pretty much only get them if you want a FF character in figure form
dont hate me for this but i think the cloud figure could have been better the swords were fantastic they were incredibly detailed but the figure looked like a dressed up barbie doll i love final fantasy vii and all i would die for it but the figure didnt look the best sorry ):
Square are getting better at making figures, but they're still a long way from top-tier quality. And sadly they have exclusive rights to all their characters...
Wow i liked this very much! Cool video! I cant wait for more videos! This is awesome! I subscribed and will be watching! Check out mine if you get a chance!
Jonathan Guzman Normally I'd agree but GoodSmile Company kinda sorta have an issue with releasing Figures on time wouldn't ya say? I'm a tad peeved about Lucina and Snake and now am wandering how bad will the Yu Narukami Delay be
princeofdeath3 yeah I agree completely. This month alone had some delayed figures. I also was looking forward to. But just look at the 2015 lineup. looks awesome.
ratedrkohbk this is a personal preference. I dislike the joints very much. They look and feel like dollar store toys with those joints. The figure itself is very cool and we'll sculpted but I do stop-motion and PAK figures are not very good for that.
