Sliding pentatonics! I've been playing over 40 years and this is the scale I have used the most. It simplifies life and sounds great.
@thankyi7678

That scale uses three boxes. Fifth . La minor and Root major box.
@BrianGay57
@BrianGay57 2 месяца назад
My cousin showed me this sliding pentatonic scale when I was just beginning to play. I got a TON of mileage out of it along with the just the first position box and the BB box. Moving up and down the neck sounds nicer (to me), and looks impressive, and it’s actually “easier” (again, to me) than the “boxes” because the notes are all so close together. This is very useful stuff folks!
@LeviBulger

It's the scale box that 99% of anyone who has played since the 90s uses. It took me years to break out of that bad habit.

I love this. I have been trying to figure this out for months, can't believe I missed it. I can play up and down the fretboard in all 5 pentatonic shapes from any starting position, switching and jumping between shapes. I knew there had to be a simple way to walk down the fret board, but I never thought about starting with shape 5. So simple and so great. Thanks for sharing and putting this out there. Great video and instruction. Awesome job.

The video lasted for just over 18 minutes and it's the most enjoyable video that I have watched. Having now learnt the A minor pentatonic scale I'm now looking forward to practicing it. From what I saw & heard it actually sounds like music . This week I'm going to practice this scale. I've recorded myself today & I will compare it next Sunday when I play back. I will normally spend about a hour practicing. Thanks again

Excellent video dude thanks for sharing that ! May I ask you : got this problem on lead/improvisation , I attempt you know to go a bit everywhere, and doing too many notes (for the blues for example ) .. could you make something about how we could play a lead solo improvisation just with few ideas/notes without specially moving the hand for a melody/lead guitar ? (I got as reference Bb King or albert king , but got trouble to integrate this in my play ) Cheers mate all the best
